The Widow's player called a meeting to discuss certain issues that have come up as a result of recent role play and events. EM Seppo and Mesanna also made an appearance to clarify questions of policy.
Mesanna and EM Seppo made it clear that we are free to role-play what we choose but that the EM program cannot endorse, affirm or plan events around player stories and claims.
As some of you may know the Widow claimed to be a lover to Lord British and mother of the heir of the throne based on the story of Nell, a character from previous Ultima Games.
At numerous role play events the Widow made it clear she wanted to rule Britannia as Queen and figurehead. Widow said in character that Sherry the Mouse would confirm her claims on a different occasion.
As to the issue of Sherry the Mouse, EM Seppo said "Sherry the mouse was proclaimed as a witness by the claimant as proof of her claim to be married to Lord British, thereby forcing three choices upon us: a) Agreeing to the claim, b) Not agreeing, c) Never using Sherry on Baja again. It is unfair to forget/gloss over the fact that we were not the ones that involved Sherry or any of our other characters into this."
So in closing, making requests to the EM program to alter the official storyline will not be honored. Plan your role play accordingly.
