Massive Guild Vent or TS server...

Well, i'm gonna give the name poll like another day to finish up. However, there is a bigger issue now. I don't have the money for a vent server, or a TS server. In the past, P0O has been given a TS and a vent server, both unable to be used right now. I'm wondering, does anyone know someone who would donate a server to us? I'm not expecting anyone to spend money on us, lol. I know that there are people out there who own servers, and was wondering if we could find one for ourselves. Any ideas?

I thought you could get a free version of the vent server?

Server 3.0 - Public version:

The public version of the Ventrilo 3.0 server can be used without a license fee, so long as you abide by the terms of the LICENSE. Each of the public servers contains a file named LICENSE and by downloading and running the server you are agreeing to the terms of this license.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong?
Or do you mean hosting, as in someone actually having the ventserv on their computer-type-hosting thing?

I don't like TS. Then again, I use vent :p

Maybe so, but we would have to be able to create/name channels, and I don't think you can do that with a public server.

Well that bites. Or bytes. Haha

My google-fu is working. I think. Guess we wouldn't be able to have more than 8ppl in vent with free version. And thats icky.

Shin... maybe you could look into mIRC. I dont know much about it, but it could possibly work.
Possibly Paltalk. My roommate suggested that one...
Anywho, they're both free alternatives we could use.

once we get this thing goin, we should keep an icq or email roster for the shard GMs. This way new thieves wont have to track down a working thief (should be difficult lol) to get added, they could just email or icq and meet up.
