Since the shop closed last week, Margrette and her sisters have been drifting around the shard aimlessly. Seems the shop was their anchor. So, even though sales were pretty dismal, Margrette is going to give her northeast Zento shop another try. She's hired new staff and refurbished the shop. Stuff that wasn't selling at all was pitched out the window. So, if you get a chance, take a few steps outside of the guard zone and see what the beautiful and sassy ladies with the lanterns are selling today!
Vendors that are open for business so far include the following:
Repairs/Alterations - Selling repair and alteration deeds for all the applicable crafting skills.
Trap Bola Machete - Selling finely crafted (err, meaning the tinker only had 30 tinkering skill but her heart was in the right place) trapped boxes; bolas; bone machetes; acid-proof rope; runed switches; unpoisoned shurikens and fukiya darts; fukiyas (blow guns) and leather ninja belts. If the well-meaning tinker that makes the trapped boxes survives being blown up as she strives to keep up with the demand for said boxes, she may also take up poisoning skill so Margrette can someday sell poisoned shurikens and darts. Don't hold your breath though, because the poor girl seems to be always in rehab from making trapped crates. Margrette has a hard time getting her attention. Could be hearing loss....
Scribed Goods - Selling rune books; filled magery, necro, and mysticism spell books; bushido and ninjitsu books; scrolls of binding; BOD books.
Chef/Alch/Distilling - Offering natural dyes in the twelve regular colors, as well as some in the rarer colors; scouring toxin; smoke bombs and enchanted apples; empty liquor barrels, metal kegs, and wheat wort. Sometimes some of the alchemy recipe scrolls. May also stock grapes of wrath if anyone actually uses them.
Furniture/Add-Ons - Stocked with a wide range of finely crafted furniture, containers, and house add-ons.
All Things Musical - Offering GM-crafted musical instruments; snake charming flutes; chimes. May also sometimes carry music box gears.
Lights/Stone/Sand - Selling many types of craftable lanterns and lights; many types of decorative stone items and a few newer types of deeded stone furniture in all the available colors; various types of glass items.
Tools - Selling engraving tools of all types; butchers war cleavers; clippers; deeded lockpicks.
There is also a vendor for selling plants and one for selling suits, but neither is stocked yet. Margrette's gardening sisters have been very busy raising new plants to sell but the variety is just a tiny bit lacking. This vendor should be in business later this week with some fine plants and possibly also some poppy dust. The suit vendor is currently empty as Margrette determines which types of inepensive suits to craft for sale. Suggestions would be most appreciated. Her plan is to try to sell some low-end suits (not all 70s) for new characters; some all 70s LRC suits; some all 70s dexxer suits; and some plain barbed leather gargoyle armor and jewelry that someone else can imbue. Some of the all 70s LRC and dexxer suits may also include some other mods (night sight, stat increases, regen, luck), but nothing that requires the use of relic fragments.
There is also a "Special Orders" vendor that is currently empty. Margrette is skilled in all the crafting trades and imbuing and is up-to-date on the High Seas booster and the Rustic and Gothic theme packs. If you need anything crafted to order, please don't hesitate to drop a book in the mailbox or jot something on the bulletin board just inside the gate or send a PM here via Stratics. If you provide the materials, she is always happy to provide her crafting services for free.
A screen shot of the refurbished shop is attached below. Please note that the vendors are now located on the southwest corner of the shop. Unfortunately, you still can't access them from inside the town walls so you have to be brave and run to the shop. If you can promise to avoid fighting and stealing on the premises, Margrette will gladly grant you status as a "friend" of the shop to enhance your shopping experience. (Margrette suggests you may want to make this request privately unless you're a true adrenaline junkie and would rather do it in general chat. My ICQ # is 203-027-342; however, I am sometimes a bit hard to catch in ICQ.)
Please stop by soon!
P.S. Margrette wanted me to mention that there are several public-access dye tubs in the straw-roofed structure next to the shop, a crystal portal and a corrupted portal; a loom and spinning wheels, as well as a set of public-access boxes made at various levels of tinkering skill that are useful for training lockpicking skill. And if you stand next to the wall by the loom, you can use the soul forge on the third floor of the shop building.
