Maniac Mansion (pic heavy!) - Input?

Greetings,
A friend of mine decorated his castle and since his English isn't sufficient, I'm asking for deco tipps in his place.

Let's begin. A lot was taken from different decorations posted in this forum, so don't be surprised if you recognise something - he's usually not into decorating very much and thus prefers to take decorations that others have made before.

Entrance

Tavern (he'll add checkers as soon as he gets some)

Living/dining room (he says it's missing something, like in the middle)

Storage Area

Champ Room (he loves to go champing, thus he has a private harrower in that room)

Swamp Area (or at least he wanted to make that, but has no clue how)

??? (he wants to move the bows up north a bit and stack them with wooden benches)

Guard area

"EM Room" - not sure what he should do here.

Fishing Room (I think we all know who had the floor idea originally ^^)

That is really cool... as for the swamp he's likely to get more tiles but in the mean time you could find some darker green cloth with the regular fishing nets on it.. And maybe some "swampish" plants...

For not decorating very often he did a fabulous job!

The middle upstairs room of the castle is tough since the walkway comes from four different directions. So you have to leave the middle a bit clear, but it can look a little empty. He could probably stick a music stand near the piano with an instrument and a stool and that will fill in a little bit.

The swamp area like others have said, swamp plants, can use rubble or regular plants. Maybe dye a fire elemental statuette green like an acid elemental? There always seems to be one of those in every swamp I ever go to, hehe.

EM room save for event decorations! Or he could make it a seasonal room and put seasonal rares out in that area while he's waiting to get more event items.

The roof came out wonderfully, btw.

I don't think I've actually see the cute recreation of a duck in the fishing room! Very cute.

I agree with Sarsmi with her comment above. I was thinking of a standing harp placed on a pillow and a stool to fill the area in a bit.
