Major bug in the game

i play red characters and i use tamers.

havent played for a week when i suddenly had the urge to have a night on Uo rampage.

until my pet died.

now i cant ress my pet anymore. not with bandies (vet), or at stable. not even other chars can ress my pet.
keep saying i must wait a few moment before resurecting that.

at stable i get that stupid spirit lack msg.

how wonderfull.



i do manage to get over this horrible lack on DF shard, but now on top of it all. i experince this.

wonderfull!!


i wonder if Osi, dev team or some importen reads this msg boards.

this need to be attended ASAP!!!!

Did it occur to you to simply page for help with a bugged pet?

This is sometimes fixed by telling the pet 'stop', 'stay' then 'all follow me'. If not page a GM and include in the page what you've already tried to fix it.

Is there a guide for how to effectively page a GM for best response? I only have one tip, and that is to avoid using the words "lost" or "loss".

I had an issue that needed an in-game fix and, having tried everything to resolve it myself, I ended the page with "I am at a loss". I got the canned response that they cannot replace lost items. This puzzled me as it didn't even apply to my circumstance. I didn't make a connection until a friend paged that he was "stuck in stat loss" for several days and he got the same canned response.

I think they see those words, or a filter does, and they automatically send the lost items reply.

Wow, kind of sad. There should be a guide stickied about "how best to word a GM page."

It might help, but what is really needed is people who understand the game, can read properly, and are motivated to apply those skills to the messages they get sent - but EA can't get those in sufficient quantity to do the job cheaply enough. The few they do have can't cope with demand, are often unmotivated thanks to the EA corporate mentality they work under, and the service we get remains patchy, and far too frequently poor.

But hey - 'Captain Cal' reckons it's all marvellous and just keeps getting better...... so that's OK then rolleyes:

I'll put my two cents in for the guide. I've noticed I get better service when I include phrases like "I know this can be fixed by a GM so do not send me a canned message."

Probably works, and well worth trying - but how sad is it that sometimes customers have to tell the GM staff "we know what you can and can't do, please stop sending us inappropriate canned responses and do it"?

I think there is a filter in the system, so words like "lost", "loss", "stuck", "help", etc. get an auto-response, but "bug" and "bugged" at least are read, and sometimes actually get a response. I know I had a warrior char that was buggy. I sent a message that said "I need help because my character is stuck at -15 physical resist naked with no spells cast." I got a canned response that they can't replace lost items. On the other hand, "My character is bugged!!!!!!!!!!!" got the quickest response I've ever gotten from the system. An actual GM showed up in like 10 minutes. He managed to reset the character's resists in a matter of seconds.
