Yep welcome to my world mate! I spent close to that on 3 plots on Europa Tram and got nothing!
Biggest stiff of all was for plot SE1. My 1 in 2 chance got beat by a 1 in 23.
Go figure and way to go Dev's, you did a really good job, again
Next time, if ever there will be another. Then how about we get additional odds (+1's) for length of time an account has been open and paid for (years not months).
No marks or warnings against that account. +1
The amount of upgrades bought. +1
Etc etc
You know, things that prove a long term committment to this game, AND discriminate against the quick buck RMT'ers who have won AGAIN!
My last word on this farce.....
Congratz to all genuine winners, I look forward to watching with interest how Magincia grows - no pun intended

Well, honestly, if I were ever rich I'm sure I would spend as much as I wanted in an attempt for a spot (if I needed spots still). But in a situation like a lotto you really do need to take a "no refunds" thing in consideration, hm...very similar to a casino...easy to spend, spend, spend, and then we have our gold sink but then we have lots of unhappy, empty-pocket people, hehe...that's all I'm thinking about. But it's not like we need to save our* money in UO for a rainy day, or consider health insur...uh oh ;P *checks to make sure I left gold for insure*

Yeaaa great lakes spent the most gold on lotto, followed by atlantic. does this in anyway show population of shard per say? no it does not. It does tell you which shard has or had the most gold to spend. Or it reflects all gl players are just crazy for lottos. I'm not sure yet which it is. More than likely the former.

I have a sneaking suspicion Cal will address a total rather than a shard-by-shard, sort of like, "And we are proud to announce the New Mag lotto removed over 20 billion gold from the game!"
ya, that's my guess too... they don't like to reveal much in the way of shard by shard details.

I can assure everyone that 20 days from now people who have not sold thier plots will be more then happy to clear them out for a greatly reduced price than what they might be asking today.

So if Atl and gl had around 10B each my guess is the total for all shards are over 30B maybe even 40
I guess because people love to gamble.
Paying Bob 200m for the plot isn't the same as risking that 200m on a chance to win it. Sure, it's safer, you'll not lose anything, and I'm sure many have done this. But I'd guess that the people who bet big love to gamble, love the risk, love the "you're a winner" moment. I know I woke up very excited on Sunday morning and couldn't wait to check. And I did win, though not the plots I'd spent a total in the higher tens of millions on. I'd won the one I'd spent just 2m on. But it didn't matter. All part of the fun. I could have turned nearly a 90% profit on what I spent from the higest offer I had for the plot within just hours of placing it. Though I did actually want to live on Magincia, it wasn't all about the gamble
I think near everyone who entered the lotto did so just to try and WIN....u cant beat that winning feeling......
I would rather have gambled 10m between all the houses than just simply buy one of them for 10m ......just the winning ticket means more to me rather than actually wanting a magincia house....
Its never gonna be a Luna 2....or is it?? pretty empty at the mo. on near all shards....this is kinda reflected by the small number of houses that have actually been built so far???though xsharding lotto will account for a lot of these, and i doubt they will sell for silly money unless on GL or Atlantic
Then again with the new market vendors... the bazzaar vendors anyone can have in the market place .... the devs are suggesting it may well be the new Luna.....time will tell i guess
