Does the property "Mage Weapon" work with the new Gargolye weapons? I havent had any success.

Mage Weapons & Throwing

I took non-runic gm boomerang and imbued it with the following properties:
Fastcast
Mage Weapon ( -20 Magery )
50 Hit Lower Defence
Then i used the mysticism spell "Enchant" which adds spellchannel and 50 hitspell to the weapon.
The boomerang would swing @ targets but it would never hit.
So it would seem "enchant" spell is not working with the "mage weapon" property.

hmm ... I tried about 20 shots with 90 throwing/0 magery and 0 throwing/120 magery against a slightly annoyed boura and hit about half the time each way.
standard throwing questions:
- were you carrying a shield? (massive penalties if you have low parrying)
- were you fighting at point blank range? (heavy penalties)
