Macro help.

Ok...so just to preface my comment here, I don't use any third party programs...at all, none. Ok, that being said I'm wondering if any one can help me with my question here.

So, I have a macro set up for "Equip last weapon". But, is there a way (using only the options in within the scripting of UO) to set a macro for: "Equip last shield"?

sure no problem....double click on the KR icon on your desktop...launch KR then write your macro. KR can do anything the legal third party programs use to be able to do with macros

HAHAHAHA, I totally agree. **Not to rant, again but...** Even more people I've ran into hate KR than ever did 3d client.

But........Any-who. Thank you for the tip TimberWolf. Nice to know that the Dev's actually made something that is actually an improvement to the game.

Did anyone ever figure out what those firecrackers are that are found on like...every single monster killed in the game?

I believe they are leftovers from July 4th 07, just never got taken out.

KR has progressively gotten better for more and more people as time has gone on.
If you've got a technical problem with it, we might be able to help you out there. If you're having a hard time figuring out how to do the things you used to do, we might be able to help you out there. If you don't like all of the new graphics, we might be able to help you out there.

I tried it about two weeks ago, It was very confusing trying to ride my blue beetle sitting sidesaddle (actually almost made me physically sick) and when he disappeared it really threw me for a loop. Also, I find it hard to set up a macro to heal multiple pets (I'm probably overlooking something there).

Well...ONLY because you asked Gildar...The last time I checked the forums for KR the giant beetles looked awful, if you took a pair of boots and placed them on the ground they are horribly off scale, there seems to be terrible "clipping" issues and...well yeah. I never wanted UO to change from the way I first discovered it.

No, I'm not trying start an argument, just doing my best to answer the question. For the record...The graphics for my Reptalon look awful as well as the Bake Kitsune does in the KR client.

I know this may come as a shock to you but just because YOU like KR does not mean everyone has to. Giving it a "real chance" means what exactly? Shaking the pom poms?

I tried it less than a month ago (in fact, I try it almost every month) and it's still as horrible as the first time I dl'd it. All the same problems (for me) are still there and barring a complete change of game engine (not to mention UI) I really don't think I'll ever get into it. I keep trying to but it just...sucks. It's not UO. *shrugs*

[/ QUOTE ]Lots of people have given KR a real chance and really do not like it. Lots of people who previously ranted and raved about KR before giving it a real chance have now changed sides and are enjoying KR.

I'm not in any way trying to suggest that everybody will like KR, just that KR is progressing towards being a client that more people enjoy, and many have not even given it a chance.

[/ QUOTE ]You should consider actually playing KR before dismissing it outright. You might be surprised in how close it is to 2D UO once you get past the initial shock factor (or you might decide that you still don't like it).

Also, those clipping issues, and the scale issues... I'm pretty sure those all went away a long time ago (except for clipping issues that match the clipping issues in 2D, and the failure to hide floors that are above you when you first login). There have also been updates for many of the graphics (including some yesterday - not sure how much of change they were yet since I haven't played that patch; my understanding is it's just sharpness issues). I'd guess though that your problems with the Giant Beetle have not been resolved... because just about nobody likes that graphic.

I downloaded the HUGE patch this mourning and gave the new KR a whirl. I have to say it's getting better. The blue beetles are scaled down and actually look kinda nice now, during about 1.5 hours of play he only went sideways once on me and then only for a few seconds. It seems more playable now and I will continue to play around with it, but for any serious monster butt kickin I will go with what I know... 2D until KR gets out of what I consider beta stage.

Gildar...that was a very nice answer. Thank you for your paitence and kindness in that response. As I am certainly NOT trying to start fights. I like any feedback that someone is willing to give. I'll keep poking around for a few more answers first. But please, Gildar, if it means anything to you, then know that it was your post that made me consider trying out KR.

And Ralf, is there any possible way that you can get me a screenshot of what a bake kitsune looks like in KR? I'm curious if "they" improved on the way it looks in KR.

Then please do not talk down to me and ask if I really tried it or "just ran away" when I saw it was different. I don't much appreciate that. I am actually capable of downloading and installing the client. I will continue to give it a shot on a monthly'ish basis but as of now, it sucks. End of story.
