So, did they raise it without telling us and are now taking it away? Or was it not in effect and someone thought gee this would be nice? I guess I really get confused sometimes. *sigh*

Lumberjacking

General | Axe Weapons Table | Skill Training | Tips & Tricks

General

Lumberjacking, a passively checked skill, is used to to chop trees for logs or do massive damage to a target (monster or player). The skill is checked everytime you use an axe. You have the axe equipped to receive logs from a tree.

With the release of UO:Renaissance, lumberjacking became a a damage bonus for all 2-handed axe weapons (Hatchet, Axe, Battle Axe, Double Axe, Executioner’s Axe, Large Battle Axe, Two-handed Axe).

The bonus starts at 0% for 0 lumberjacking and goes up to 25% at 99.9 lumberjacking. A GM lumberjacker gets a 30% bonus, so it's worth it to train it all the way to 100.

Note: There are NO powerscrolls at this time for Lumberjacking.

Can you unravel Jewelry?

Yes, if the jewelry has magical properties. Can Jewelry be imbued? Yes. Do you have to have the crafting skills to be able to imbue an item? No, but crafting skills are useful for creating base items to Imbue.

What is the actual damage increase in combat when you have 100 lumberjacking skill?

Is it still 30-35% damage incerase like it was in renaissance or was it reduced to the same damage increase as inscription; 10-15%? Lumberjack provides a damage bonus of +10% at GM.

Latest Patch Note:

Lumberjacking
At GM Lumberjacking players will have a 10% chance for a Lumberjacking damage bonus of 100% from base weapon damage.

Lumberjacking
At GM Lumberjacking players will have a 10% chance for a Lumberjacking damage bonus of 100% from base weapon damage.
I know this is probably OT but I just tested GM Lumberjacking with 100 swings.

There is only one damage shown. No longer a separate damage floating up on crit.

At all time GM lumberjacking gives you a 30 Damage Increase which is added to your char stat sheet.

Out of 100 swings with an ornate there were 4 crits, and when it crits it gives you an additional 70 Damage Increase and will SOMETIMES shown on your paperdoll (this is a 13/14 min/max damage added to your paperdoll sheet with an ornate axe). Damage is rounded DOWN.

I know 100 swings is probably not enough swings however its just a reference.

Results: (English version vs a player with all 70s)
At GM Lumberjacking using an ornate you will gain on average of 2 additional damage.

You have about 5% chance to crit and when it crits you gain an average damage of 4 on top of your regular damage.

End result, having GM lumberjacking gives you a MAX BONUS DAMAGE of 6. This is against someone wearing all 70s.

Going to post this in a new thread and see if LJing 100 skill points are intended to be such a joke...

And NO they did NOT restore LJ to its former greatness... NOT EVEN CLOSE.
30 Damage Increase and 100 Damage Increase on crit is NO WHERE NEAR 30% extra TOTAL Damage you deal like the old times.
Currently...
100 DI crit (5% chance) against 70s means +6 damage to your regular swing...

Classic LJing bonus
30% bonus final damage. So this essentially means that your final damage = (your damage dealt x 1.3).

Again English version
Assuming you swing your ornate axe on someone in all 70s for 25 damage
You will deal 25 + 6 which is 31 damage on crit ONLY.

In classic you will deal out (25*1.3) = 32.5 damage 100% of the time all the time every single time.
