Hello. Ive bin trying to find info about lumber jacking bonus damage. Im reading different things about it. What is the exact % you get. At GM im hearing 30%, 22% and 10%. Anyone know?

Thank you.

Lumberjack Damage Bonus% = Lumberjack ÷ 5 (Add 10% if Lumberjacking >= 100)

This is to the weapon Base damage, so just a few pts

Aww ok thank you. Not sure if 100 points for 10% is worth it.

It's not worth it. Very few template profit from those few points.

Use lumberjacking to gather wood.

Im confused. So then its a total of 30% to base damage at GM?

I found this.
Five on Friday - June 12, 2009 - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia

Says:

What is the actual damage increase in combat when you have 100 lumberjacking skill?

Is it still 30-35% damage incerase like it was in renaissance or was it reduced to the same damage increase as inscription; 10-15%? Lumberjack provides a damage bonus of +10% at GM.

tha formula stands. It's been this way for a long time, I should know, my 1st char was an axer, now it's a mule skill. so w/ an Ornate Axe @ 18 - 20 damage, that 's about 7 extra pts for that 100pts of skill.
Just another thing the 'it's overpowered" crybaby group came up with, now it's worthless, even as a resource tool, it's pretty worthless for top end wood, unless you run a bot

you just reach your DI cap quicker and with less items. If you do tactics+anat+lj, you need less DI items, but you have to be using an axe, so no pot chugging. It is easier to do in a group and joust mobs, as far as pvp goes... looks the same

It is 10% damage bonus to axe. Which translates into 3 to 5 points more damage per swing. That is a 10% increase to the axes base damage.

Tactics, Anatomy, & Lumberjack are not affected by the DI cap.

Its just another thing that Sunsword broke that never got fixed. ><

Actually, the damage increase you get from skills (tactics, anatomy, lumberjacking) do not count towards your DI.

Ie, even if you already have max DI from your equipment, the skills will still increase your damage.

Of course, increasing damage beyond a certain level doesn't really help much in pvp since the damage is capped at 35.

To the OP, at gm lumberjacking, the damage bonus is 30 percent. 20 from the 100/5 formula, plus a bonus 10 from being gm.

It is not as popoular as anatomy, since anat is used for healing, and doesn't restrict you to using axes. There are normally better skills to invest that 100 points in.

Some cramped templates that don't use healing even do away with anat.
