Luck??

Someone please tell me, is it luck, that gives a player a crimson cincture after whacking a crimson dragon once or twice?? While three people with their pets have beaten this beast down to nothing??? 20 minutes maybe 30, three of us with our pets battled the beast in Vesper after everyone else ran off. When the dragon is at least 98% beaten, three people show up and start shooting arrows at it. The brave souls that I stood with and myself, got the usual cr@p loot, and then someone says 'yea!! i got a crimmy!!'. Of course, it was someone that came only for the end of the battle and to revel in our glory.
I dont think I have ever been quite so disgusted with this game as I am right now. F**k luck, lets just play fair. Reward us for our efforts.

Don't believe everything you hear though. A few people have been known to say that just to get under peoples skin. While it is possible to get an arti since I know the crimson dragon drops peerless ingredients. But for them to come in late when it's low on health and to get a crimy. I highly doubt it.
