Hello, I was just wondering what templates people mostly use luck on and if the new luck jewlery will allow you to use it on any other than your normal one.

Anyone going to be using it on other templates (such as paladins) now the new luck jewlery is in?

I think it's supposed to but I don't think it's ever worked.
If you have bush which i do, not everyone does. but I'm not convinced its working. First they said the code was in there but not turned on then they said the code was not in there then they said it was in there and working. That doesn't give me much confidence especially when I don't actually SEE the luck value go up on my status gump like when you equip items or when you use the luck statue.

Yeah, i dont think it works either even when your gaining perfection you dont see it. Ive played bushido chars with and without using perfection and the loots always the same (uusally poor heh)

I ran luck on my thunter for a while, then i found out luck doesnt effect tmap loot.... gutted.
I'd love to know on the status of perfection's luck bonus. does it work? does it stack or overlap regular luck? I imagine it wouldnt stack but i guess thats probably the problem they are having implementing it.

I use my 1000 luck here in the Casino's in Vegas, hehehe. I only have 780 luck max in the game.

I am unaware of any other skill that allows you to gain perfection besides bushido.

I use it on my tamer for hunting swoops, I have 1164 and dont get much for it lol

I use it on my tamer only. I don't see how you could play in it on any other template and kill anything with good loot as everything else is in direct combat and full luck suits have terrible resists and mods that don't compliment each other.
I was just saying not every fighter has bush hence not everyone gets the luck bonus from perfection that swings a sword or shoots a bow.

I've never seen anyone other than a tamer use luck. The new jewlery may have casting & regens but dont let that fool you in to thinking someone else will use it.
They struggle to come up with anything that isnt a pet or tamer related item, always have.

The regens are quite useful though one less drawback of being elf on my tamer with the hit point regen i get on my human chars.

I easily run a Luck suit on an Archer when I hunt Hiryus and other non casters. I can successfully run a Luck suit on some casters also. It hasn't been worth it for me to run that suit/char though. I prefer resists and other mods than luck, so that suit usually sits in the bank.

Ok this hasnt really sold me to trying luck on another template i was semi hoping it would, what do you all think about using chiv on the tamer?
And can you if you didnt vote tamer can you say what your killing and how, tactics and what not please?

The problem with Luck is that it, like just about every thing else in the game, relies on the RNG. Get my meaning?

i use luck on my thunter for spawn loot
i use luck on my tamer down in doom....with this new set and a sculpture 2300 luck is around the corner. he racks up artys every 3 rounds with 1400 luck im hoping 2300 givem faster!!

Luck with Perfection does work. It's never been designed to change the luck value in the Status gump as the gump only measures equipment luck totals. If you want to test it, go kill something 20 times without honoring it and note how many mods are on each item, then do it another 20 times with Honor. You'll notice a definite difference in the number of items with 3-5 mods.

I run a ABC archer with 500 luck plus bushido bonus for perfection my bushido is 110 so thats 1000 plus 500 plus 10th aniversery statue that gives me another 600 luck thats 2100 luck now I have tested this alot every day now fighting ogre lords atleast 1 hour a DAY I have done this with the 2100 luck suit and with a 200 luck suit and have only noticed a slight increase in gold about 40gold and a very very slight increase on item stats and that is only 1 in maybe 100 items and I get maybe 1 of a 1000 that is worth keeping and usualy thats a bow that I can mod to improve it you may ask why hunt there (despise) and its because I am trying to finish my darn virtue set missing breast plate I have all other items and luck has nothing to do with the drops there either !
oh and my resists are all 70 except cold wich is like 55 I think with 4 mana regen and 4 stamina regen

As it is, Luck rewards the template that best mitigates risk and punishes (through lower resists) templates that take risk head on.
Hopefully with the additions of the turn-in jewelry the Robe of the Eclipse and a couple of other items, that can be changed.
As it is, Luck fails the "risk vs reward" ideal... BADLY.

1100+ with tamer. Doesn't help. The loot stinks besides. +15 enhance potions does not ever help.
some of the comments about luck... always a crappy suit, etc... now that i have my crappy luck suit... i am always searching to improve it... maybe get a piece with similar luck and a good property... so it does provide something to do while I am having all that fun.

I use both my Tamer and my Bard with my luck suit, but I use it most often with my Tamer. How many people actually see a diffrence between 1100+ luck and 2100+ luck. Do you all think the additional 200 luck the new ring/bracelet combo will make a diffrence. According to the math it should show a bit of diffrence. I might use the new Jewlery on my mage when I do a dread horn just before it dies but on a regular basis I think I will leave it on my Tamer.

I have 2 luck suits that I now use only very rarely on my Mage/Bard, as Ive never really seen a big jump in the quality/stats of the items Im getting.
I have a 1050 (give or take) 100% LRC medable suit, that should bump to about 1300 if I get the bracelet/ring combo, but I will lost about 25% LRC.
My second suit is 1280 (no LRC on this one) and it will bump to 1480 if I get the jewelry combo.
But Im not going to do it until I can get some REAL concrete evidence that Luck really does work.
For what its worth, when Im not wearing my luck suits I wear my fully Medable, 100% LRC suit that gives me 150 Int (171 mana) and a regen rate of about 12. Sure I dont have the Luck of my other suits, but I can also pretty much spam most spells in my book without ever running dry.

My template is 110 Magery/Med/Eval/Provo/Music with 100 Inscription (soon to be moving to another character). I usually fight what I can handle solo, I love farming the Ophids, Cyclops/Titans, Tsuki wolves, Lesser Hiryu (god I hate ninjas), Demons. Anything I feel comfortable with and that I can control the environment. I used to love running around Destard but with the G-draggys now floating around I dont go there.

Ah ty. Cant say ive seen the mod bumps someone was talking about, maybe my rl luck isnt to hot lol.
I think ill follow the herd and stick to just using it on my tamer doesnt sound particularly easy to fit on other temps.

Right but not even a legendary bard can go everywhere(Destard) and be as safe as a lamer with a super dragon.

Worst part is, I busted my arse building up my Bard too. And Ive never been happier than when I popped 100 Provocation. Now its 110, and Im still no closer to getting decent loot cause I cant survive against high powered spawn.

The only skill thats worth having below 120 is taming. Any other template that is elder or below is beginning to become underpowered in comparison to the tamer template. Those tamers that will say that I am joking-try going into Destard with a skill level that is equal to what it takes to tame a greater dragon. Something like 104.7 in taming right? Now take a mage or melee there with only 104.7 skill and see how quickly you are killed.Yeah, I know

I agree but some skills have useful points well below 100 which balance it out a bit i think, chiv, poisoning, bushido, area peace, stealth.
I went to destard with my 120 gimped sampire and got my arse handed to me in about 15 seconds by a greater meat shield. That was with 0 luck.The only skill thats worth having below 120 is taming. Best place to use luck is when you do peerless bosses. When I wasn't using my luck suit I wasn't getting anything good. I started using it, I got the cinture, and quite a bit of those armor pieces.
