Luck Suit (time to measure suits!)

I have allways been a luck suit addict.
and as such ive allways strived to make my luck suit the very best it can be.

i think i have finally made the very best suit i possibly can for my mage.
i dont think i can get it any higher or better.

here it is.

total for the suit is 1910 luck
and i can add 750 from using the statue to get to a grand total of 2660 luck.

the rest of the suit is:
2/6 casting
100 LRC
31 LMC
8 Mana Regen
25 DCI

70 resist in phy and fire and 50's for the rest.

suit has some other stuff on it that isnt worth listing.
but i think i finally have it topped out.

(hat of chuckles, luc's gorget, armor of fortune, luck sandals, imbued legs/arms/gloves that each have 140 luck with 20 LRC, garb robe from crystal event (140) and the 220 luck staff, and the 2/6 300 luck ring and watch set)

i guess the only questing is if there is some old EM event items that have luck on them.... like a Kilt or a sash or something like that.

Pretty sure the ring/brace has a combined 400 luck on them.

There was at one point a robe and a pair of boots with luck on them. If I remember correctly the robe was lost to a banned account, the boots my still exist somewhere.

Add in luck sandals and you're sitting at 1930 luck. 800 from luck sculpture (12 yr acc) and 1000 luck from Perfection which puts you at 3730 luck.

GO cheap and easy use janna's staff. 2o luck diff from a 160 and 80 shield.

Luck is so broke why bother work towards a 900-1050 with all 70s and decent mods and you will get same results as 2k +

I wish the Devs would address luck once and for all..... I have a suit that puts me at just over 2200 luck before a statue... but how much of that works?? I did Doom last night and the mods and everything was crap.

It would be nice to have an answer regarding this though.... is luck offically broken or does the RNG just really really suck?

Luck has been nice on my tamer... I've done two harrowers and I received an idol on one and a skull pole for the other.

I'm still trying to get a few more pieces to boost it more(missing boots and an armor piece)

Question. It was stated earlier that the maximum amount of luck you can have before statue is 1930. How are you hitting 2200??

so basically luck has a chance to make your crappy loot rolls better, but no better than the best, which is possible at 0 luck.

perception is reality in this case. sometimes luck does nothing. and sometimes people with 0 luck get the best items. also, sometimes luck CAN'T have an effect even if you win the luck roll. pretty simple now that I've seen it described clearly by Draconi

so to those who don't bother looting because they have 0 luck and think they won't get anything. it's not true!

People are taking what Draconi said completely out of context.

Luck itself works. The problem is that how other things are coded.

Example.

You kill an orc. According to the loot table an orc will have (just pulling this out of the air) 3-7 items, with 0-3 abilities of 1-55% intensity.

Now, lets say you hit the trifecta in luck, getting a 'bump' to all 3.

The issue is, is that we don't know what the 'bump' is. But from what Draconi said, there seems to be an issue where even if you get the bump from luck, it can't exceed some value.

The problem is, he didn't mention which one or if all three possible values are affected.

I did a sample once of swoop loot. I killed 100 without any luck and 100 with my luck suit + statue on. There was ALOT (almost 75% more) quality loot from the luck kills than the non-luck kills. Take that for what you will. For purposes of the testing, I just looked at intensities and number of abilities. I wasn't going to sit there and count the number of items each time.

At the heart of the problem is that we don't know WHEN luck works. I posted a question in the dev area months ago (the crappy replacement for FoF, which seems to be getting totally ignored) asking if we could get a message telling us that luck has worked and what kind of luck bump is was (items, number of abilities, intensities). And, of course, was never answered.

people can scream that luck dosnt work till they are blue in the face, i KNOW it works.

i go out and we do a peerless and we put all the loot on the floor at the end and we divy it up.

9 time out of 10 when we do that no one takes anything cause it crap.

then i put on my luck suit and we do the same thing and all of sudden we are rolling for 10 items.

i think where some people get messed up when it comes to luck is they think it will make monster uber items.
but its just an intensity bump bonus.

and after reading this thread im now gonna go invest some time in making a luckblade, hahahhaha

imbue up to 100 luck
enhance it with spined leather
then add on your 20 LRC

i did that for my legs, arms and gloves.
i think it took 2 per to get it for each of them.
was maybe 3 on the gloves?

most $$ part was powdering up the items before enhanceing and hoping that they live through it.

my cheap ass scrottish blood kicked in and i only powered them up half way, hehe.

if i wanst so cheap i would have added LMC to them as well, but i opted for the resists to get the suit 70 in phy and fire and nox.

How do you get to 31 LMC if you dont have LMC on your arms/gloves/leggings?
