Does Luck not work the way it's supposed to?
Based on the following definitions, I've spent a couple of hours over the last few days testing this myself and found that LUCK doesn't seem to work:
Tested in Fel with these sets of gear:
- Luck set - 3660 (with statue and 1k Fel luck bonus - 2410 base luck gear) - Equals 94% chance.
- Base gear - Zero Luck
It gives a chance of there being a greater amount of loot:
- negative ghost rider.
50 Earth Elementals - No change in the amount of loot given.
50 Gold Elementals - No change in the amount of loot given.
50 Brigands - No change in the amount of loot given.
25 Yomotsu Priests - No change in the amount of loot given.
25 Cyclops - No change in the amount of loot given.
Each mob drop count remained the same with and without the luck gear.
Chance of a greater number of properties on said loot.
- negative ghost rider.
50 Earth Elementals - No change in property mods.
50 Gold Elementals - No change in property mods.
50 Brigands - No change in property mods. Best tested here to make sure. The ones with shields drop clothing, a shield with 1 defence property and a weapon with base stats. They also have a chance of dropping one extra weapons, ring, bracelet or random junk item. This is exactly the same for both sets of gear.
25 Yomotsu Priests - No change in property mods.
25 Cyclops - No change in property mods.
Chance that those properties will be of greater intensity.
- negative ghost rider.
50 Earth Elementals - No change in item intensity.
50 Gold Elementals - No change in item intensity.
50 Brigands - No change in item intensity. Same as above. Everything seemed to stay exactly the same. The shields never changed as the weapons remained base stats.
25 Yomotsu Priests - No change in item intensity.
25 Cyclops - No change in item intensity.
So what am I missing here? By using gear with such high luck along with statues and the fel bonus, nothing seems to change. Everything acted as though I had no luck at all.
