Lt Dan giving items from the Abyss event?

First of all, I was under the impression that the items given out during the ranger/warden of the abyss event were unique to that event.

Secondly, it is stated:

Each has a chest that gives
random prizes. Each chest has a bunch of random items and a few unique items that you win randomly.

The special items in Lt. Dan’s chest are new to this event.

Crag has stolen the special items from the last event and has put them in his chest.

Yet i've seen people say that Dan gives ranger cloaks?

Did I misread, has anyone else had this happen, or?

I read it as there will be new, unique items but only in Lt Dan's chest in addition to the already released items

Yeah, maybe you remember the blue crystals too? Because a chest full of them doesn't let me forget their promised future use

I got Ranger Quest rewards from Dan too. Maybe try Crag? Perhaps they are backwards.

Messana was fixing the chests on Atlantic yesterday and she told us that Lt. Dan would drop the new items starting today, along with the old and that Lt. Crag would drop only the old items.

I ran 15 characters through yesterday and got 1 Frostguard and 2 Relic Frags. Today, I took 10 to Lt. Dan and got 1 Frostguard and 2 Relics, then I took 5 too to Lt. Crag and got 1 Frostguard and 1 Ranger's Cloak.

I did notice that my 2 Gargoyles got SA type items so I'm hoping they might get a Warden's Armor since I didn't run my Garg's through that part of the housing event
