So early this morning I'm macroing snooping while at the keyboard. I get a phone call that I must take so I decide to shove a penny inbetween the keys to keep it going while i take the phone call (yes I know I shouldnt do that at all but it wasnt a big deal). I get up and walk into the other room for a 10 min or so phone call. When I get back I have 'Connection Lost'. I log back in to find that my character has been completely deleted. This was a character with all scrolled out taming skills, mage skills, and thieving skills at 120. In addtion to that I had around 25 mil in the bank(which isnt much but it is all I had), a full set of faction arties, and some cbds. Now all of its gone. FML. I mean come on, on xmas? I paged a gm and they wont do anything about it fo course, nor did I expect them to. but seriously? Real nice gm to do that on xmas. Now im looking for a new thief account and I have to figure out how to get some gold since im broke. as I said FML.

Seriously? I call shenanigans. GM's don't delete characters.

I apologize if there was a misunderstanding. I went to the bathroom and took the dog out, when I came back thats what happened. I'm just explaining the situation. I didn't think gms did that either but I can't come to any other conclusion considering I don't dl things I haven't checked, keep up to date firewalls and scanners, and have all my own info in the account management page including my own email. No one else has access to the account. This is just the only explanation I can think of. Can you think of anything else that mght have happened?

I was macroing snooping while I was walking the dog, do you not understand what im talking about? I unattended macroing while I took the dog out for however long. when I cam back, "connection lost" and char deleted

My guess would be that someone had access to the account. You will get connection lost when someone else logs in on the character from another computer.

GM's will not delete characters. They will ban the account and send you an email. Even then, a first time offense is only a 72 hour ban.

hmm... thats so weird. no one else knows the pw. I have no idea how it could have happened. I think it had previous strikes to the account but even then I would think they would ban it and not delete... just doesnt make sense. is it possible the previous owner called up EA and said someone had hacked their account and had changed the pw and convinced the rep to give them access?

If your old PW still works, probably not. But you never could have changed it back right after.. A lot of thought just to mess with someone, but like I said. You never known.. Lots of strange ppl around..

check the character list for siege; maybe there hasn't been time to change its' name? See if he is there or gone?

Yes, possible and happens quite a bit. Especially if the previous owner used credit card.

Before this gets out of hand, it ends here. Stratics folk can not really help you much more... The only real answers can only come from EA/Mythic/BioWare...
