So I need to tame a few things and I need to know where, how, what to look for, tricks, whatever you think is important.. Also how to tell what is a good one for these pets..

I've had those questions too after coming back to the game last December and working on tamer chars for the first time. For a start, you can get a ton of information on those three creatures if you go to Stratic's Hunter's Guide: http://uo.stratics.com/hunters/index.shtml.

As for the "how do I tame" question, there are many tips in different threads on this forum. Doing a search here will help some.

For a quick check on whether a particular creature is worth taming, I'd recommend checking out the pet power calculator here: http://www.uocraft.com/taming/pet-power-calculator/.

I'm starting to wonder if it might be worth creating some stickies for the higher-end tameables that include the kind of information you're asking for, so new tamers don't have to search around to get their general "how do I tame X?" questions answered.

Wenchy, is that something you've ever contemplated doing? I would be willing to do the searching to put together some of those mini-guides and then submit them to you and/or other veteran tamers for review.

Search is your friend, as is the tamer guide on Stratics here.

I'd suggest reading the basics in the guide above then do a quick search to see nobody has asked about something already. Then if you need specific help, fire away

Gortman, I do have plans to overhaul the stickies/FAQ, and you're now added to the sucker...I mean volunteer list to help out heheh.
