The story, on UO.com, is like over 2 weeks old. Yet ive not seen anyone talk about it.

Anyone know what it means or is it just a mystery?

Not a clue. And I'm not happy with the way they do this. The stories are only background fluff. They might as well be the story in a WoW quest.

Uhm, it was talked about to death two weeks ago. Now we are just waiting another 3 months for Part II.

I for one don't mind "background fluff," it adds richness to the world.

As long as said "background fluff" has a relation to in-game events I don't mind one bit.

Blackthorn's Damnation, for example, was largely just "background fluff." But it filled an important gap between in-game happenings.

So did Sherry the mouse happen to be a person that got on the wrong side of a Mage at some point? I've been wondering how we ended up with a talking (among other things) mouse in the storyline. :p

Sherry came from the pool of oddities that is the Ultima Series; namely Ultima 6/7. No idea where Sherry came from before that, probably some sort of perversion of blackrock.

Well, I'd like them to give us something for game play. All this did was give us a reminder of that mouse hole behind the throne, and all those sashes under the castle. Maybe that was the point, I don't know. But it would have been great to be able to get to that mouse hole and go through it.

Edit: And now I'm thinking, maybe there is a way. Maybe there's a clue in that story. Maybe we need to give some rubble to an NPC there to get the next clue, maybe....but I've been here before. All I do is waste my time trying this and that and a bunch of things, while everyone else is busy powergaming up and I just continue to spin my wheels.

Didn't Sherry come from Earth like LB did?

I think it's pure "background fluff" in this particular case.

I was just saying I don't mind that if it's related to or fills the gaps in in-game events.

How I feel about this particular piece depends in large part on how long it takes for something to happen that obviously relates to it.
