I wonder if that holds true if you are in the Thieves Guild.

I can confirm this.

If you are in the thieves guild and are running 'round in say the Dojo and happen to steal an arti and then happen to die then you could happen to be looted by someone watching you die then run up to the top level for the rez......

just saying

When SE first came out my guildmates and I were always down in the Dojo and the Mines... Stealing everything ... competition was rough and often near where many of the good items spawned there could be 10 to 20 monsters... Often Thieves were luring these monsters over in hopes that the first one to attempt to steal the item would get killed. And Yes... We looted anyone foolish enough to be in the Thieves Guild.

I recall laughing when someone stole the bottle of sake and then promptly died to the Succubs. I stole the bottle and ran off... Leaving their ghost to OOOooOoo... *grins wickedly*

Those were fun times.
