It's been about a week that every time I enter the game with any account and any character, after about 1 minute everything freezes and I have to log out and log back in again. I use the CC client and Windows 10. I haven't changed anything these days. Does this happen to you too? What could it be?

My untested and purely theoretical recommendations:

1) Rename the "My Document\EA Games" folder temporarily to revert back to client defaults, see if the freeze still occurs (this might bork any third party tools, I don't know).
2) Run the Windows Resource Monitor (Run command "resmon.exe") to monitor CPU/Disk/Memory usage so when the freeze occurs you might be able to eyeball something noteworthy (probably not helpful but you never know, costs nothing)
3) Full re-installation

You say it freezes but can still gracefully log out and back in again? I would have thought the entire game client would freeze but it sounds like only the gameplay freezes, while the desktop area of the client still functions. If it's only the gameplay that freezes then maybe the client could be recalling bad data (like corrupted data from the player housing cache, or something).

If your computer's generating a lot of heat I guess you could check system temps as well. I know it's just an ancient 2D client but if we're checking things, might as well check'em.

I have read everything and I will try to do something hoping not to damage anything. One thing I forgot to write. Not always but sometimes, when it crashes, it gives me an error: 'error data 10053'. And sometimes the character just freezes, sometimes it gives me the message 'connection lost'.
However, it is only the character who freezes, if I return immediately he is in the same position as before the freeze. I thought about the lag but is it possible that it even blocks the client? And if it were the lag it should also stop later, when I return and continue playing. Instead it only happens at the beginning. I'm getting used to it, when I open a character I wait 2 minutes, until it freezes, then I go back and play normally. However it is not normal and I would like to be able to fix it. Let me start by saying that I entered the game with another account and another character and I went around because I was looking for something to buy. It didn't give me any problems. Then I go in with this other account and it happened again, but only with one character from one account. And it only happens with this account and the character is the one who has blocked the age at 227 months even though I wrote and they replied that in their opinion it is right. Well, now it crashed, and I got the error message 'Error sending data 10053'. I left the character frozen but nothing happens, it doesn't give me connection lost, it doesn't move. At this point it occurs to me that it's a problem with this character. Blocked the age growth and now also the initial block with that error message. No more what to think or do

Using multiple clients (classic) creates memory cache errors and has been an ongoing issue for years and has never been addressed.

As mentioned above you need to clear your temp folder and start from scratch.. this will delete any macros/desktop layout saves.

My work around was to alter the cache folder and have it save outside of the install drive (cache/temp files are being saved to an ssd)

Also if you have multiple clients open at all times and do not update it will create issues for logging in. Make sure the client is not running in the background for some strange reason. (check task manager)

My warning that the client will freeze and I will get handed my beautiful grey robes, is only when I get into the Ant-hives, when the towns are also active. I can see lags in there, and at first bouts I try to get out, since lagging in there means death and loss of time. My client does drop out completely when not fighting, and in the house, after 2-4 minutes, from time to time. I suspect it is many things factoring into this drop out, including # users, density of spawn, the anti-cheat new code that excludes "other clients", ISP related bandwidth drop, due to the neighbours all on line on Saturday night, and maybe some specific things about your system, like malware trying to copy your personal data and send it to a criminal? I now use an old Win 10 machine have increased the cores to 8 by using windows system modify, and only occasionally have issues.

I also thought about the multiple clients. In fact, as a second client I opened the one where the character who freezes is (usually I do this to transfer pets). But I did it for years and nothing had ever happened. But now it always happens, even if I open UO and only the client where the character is located, it freezes. I'll try to do as you say, maybe there's something wrong (also considering the fact that I'm not getting older). Ok, thank you very much, let's hope it works!

Apart from the fact that I had returned from a trip to Luna and in front of my house I found a Skeleton Mare (Trammel, under Yew) who I didn't even have time to see who it was and it killed me, now we have the problem I also have it with the other client I play with on Atlantic. I don't know whether to laugh or cry

Well, now it crashed, and I got the error message 'Error sending data 10053'.

I'm thinking this is actually uoassist. I use linux and normally if I idle too long instead of simply being disconnected, I will get swamped with those sorts of popup messages. I had just written this off as a quirk of using Wine to play the game.

Since the last publish that broke that other 3rd party client, I've randomly been getting this anywhere from a minute or two after login up to 30 minutes later. I stopped messing around with the invasion due to it, and a general lack of time.

It didn't dawn on me that it could be UOA until yesterday, I've moving houses and had a second account logged in with a separate instance that doesn't use UOA. That one got kicked normally and cleanly from inactivity twice and my UOA went wonky about 5 times in the course of an hour, which was the worst I've seen yet.

Putting 2 and 2 together, I think this is the result of them making backend changes to client communication and its impacting UOA just enough to cause it to abend.
