Log out/changing characters issue using EC

Not sure if this is a bug or not - checking to see if anyone else has experienced this.

The scenario: I log out a character in a supposedly safe location like my house or an inn, then immediately try to log in with a different character on the same account. Probably 30-40% of the time I will be blocked from logging in and get the message about how a different character on the account is still logged in to the world and I must wait. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the issue; one time the log out - log in works just fine, but the next time, under exactly the same conditions, the process fails.

Any clue what might be going on?

Is this only happening in the EC?

I get that if I get attacked or I attack. You sure there's no caster outside or something?

cast invise or hide before you log out ! and also make sure you have not fought anything in the last couple minutes

It is not an EC issue. If you damaged a creature or have been in combat, you have to wait 2 minutes before you can log out and back in with another character. I know, it sucks. But that's how it always has been.

Aha! I did not know about that 2 minute timeout issue. But that would explain why sometimes I cannot log back in immediately with another character.

To answer an earlier question, I only have the EC installed.

I'll have to pay attention to which characters are having the issue. There are definitely times where the char logging out has just come back from hunting so the two-minute timer issue mentioned above would be the cause. I will do some experimenting to see if that's the only time this happens.
