Little Macro help?

Could someone please remind me how you stop a macro in mid-completion? Like if you were fishing and pulled up a serpent and had to switch to your bow? I forgot how and both my fisher and my miner are having problems because I'll be in a ten step macro.. I'll spawn a ore elemental, and can't fight cause I keep switching back to my pickaxe. Or fishing pole.

Searched the macro threads but can't seem to find it anymore even though I know I saw it somewhere.

In the EC, if you hit another macro (say your macro to unequip what you're holding and equip your bow), the new macro will stop and override the old one.

Otherwise you can also hit Esc to end the macro being run.

What client is the macro made on, and is it a uo macro or a uoassist or another third party app macro?

I use the EC and escape doesn't work. Escape just clears the target, but when running a repeating macro it re-establishes the target. I can't even throw the fishing pole on the ground, my guy just picks it right back up.

Gonna gp try Dermott's idea of activating another macro.
