Gyldenfeld - Tonight, Lissa Eldi and James Von Krieg sealed their commitment to each other as they were wed in the Gyldenfeld town park. Dozens of friends, family and well-wishers packed into the beautifully decorated park(compliments of Lady Sweet Dreams) to witness the couple exchange vows of matrimony.
Lady Phoenix administered the rites, first asking the anxious couple if they were ready to proceed before briefly extolling upon the nature of love and commitment and how they embodied the fine principles of the Virtues.
A brief surprise was in store for the wedding guests as a band of brigands attemped to crash the party. The dignity of the occasion was maintained as the interlopers were dispatched quickly and the prisoner being held was later brought along as an impromtu date to the reception held at the Red Wolf Cafe, one of Chesapeake's oldest establishments.
When the vows were formally exchanged, neither Lissa nor James blinked for an instant as they enthusiastically cemented the bonds of their union. Sweet Dreams served as Maid of Honor for Lissa Eldi while Nanoc similarly acted as Best Man for James Von Krieg.
With marriage now official, the onlookers broke into tears of joy and raucous applause as they shot barrages of fireworks that filled the skies over Gyldenfeld in a display of unabounded splendor. The couple strode down the aisle hand in hand with their retinue of guests following them eagerly to the Red Wolf Cafe for the reception.
The catering was presented as the work of many, many hands and including Queen Zen(a notable Chesapeake chef) and even the groom himself mentioned he'd helped cook. Perhaps a bit of a surprise, Lissa broke him the news that she doesn't know how to cook!
After everyone had settled in past the greeting line and into the sumptuous feast and endless rounds of drinks, Nanoc gave a fine toast in honor of the newlyweds. Wedding gifts were presented to the couple and then Lissa had the ladies line up near the patio whereupon she threw a bouquet to them which was eagerly snatched up by a lucky gal.
After a while, the couple made their break for the next moongate to parts unknown for their honeymoon amidsts a sea of wellwishing and cheers.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
