Hello,
I think it is time to find a guild. I returned to UO a few months ago after almost seven years away.

I am a casual player. Generally I play in 1-2 hour blocks after 9PM PST.
Currently I split my play time between "housekeeping" (plants,vendors, and ROT checks) and PvM. Back before I left (when AOS came out) I was the worst kind of lowdown Anti PK scum:gun:.

My pvp is so rusty and out of date I have mostly stayed away. I am competent enough that I have not been brought down in several random attacks but I am not currently seeking out pvp. I still have fun chasing PKs on my crafter.

Generally I do not have hours and hours to mill around online but I would like to find a rp (clomp de humie!) or pvm guild to do the occasional scroll spawn with.

I have my own houses, gold, gear, etc.

I have two accounts a mage and a crafter. Both 7GM plus (they were done when I left - still adjusting for the new skill caps.)


Anyhoo- if your guild does the occasional spawn and needs another hand let me know.

I'd recommend getting in touch with Nightstalker from O-S, spend some time with them to see if you mesh.

I dunno if they're taking people, but they seemed like the laid back type you're looking for.

There's a good stickied guilds of siege thread in this forum you might want to look at.

Whenever people ask me about guilds, I go like this - answer these two questions:

Do you want to be 'good' or 'evil'?
Do you want to rp?

Based on the answers to those questions, there's basically a matrix of guilds that fit those playstyles. I'd say they are:

Note that when I say good or evil. Good means you don't have to be good (save the princess and all), but you are restricted from being bad (you can't pk or steal). Evil doesn't mean you HAVE TO be evil and pk, but you can if you want to as you are not restricted from being good.

And also all guilds are roleplaying 'friendly', the guilds that I note as roleplaying I believe are required roleplaying in some form or another.

Good, not roleplaying:
HHSF alliance - made up of H&H (PVM), C8V/JSV (mostly pvp).
Gilfane (White Council Alliance) - Big, mostly pvm.

Good, roleplaying:
CWS (White Council Alliance) - Mostly pvm.

Evil, not roleplaying:
TnT - mostly pvp I think?

Evil, roleplaying:
TDO - 'outlaws'
RXAS - Damien's guild, not sure if he is recruiting.
O-S - Nightstalkers guild, The Outsiders.

The concern with the last three guilds is they are mostly smaller, and might be harder to pvm with. Best check with them.

The big 3 alliances, HHSF (C8V/JSV/H&H), White Council (CWS/GIL), and TnT (TnT/TnA - can't remember their alliance name) would probably be the best for group PVM just because they have the numbers to do so.

There is also the thieves guild for thieves. And the Siege Misfits Alliance, basically made up of people who like to do their own thing, but they ally so it's easier for them to hang out and have someone to do hunts with.

Thank you both for the replies. Bruin that is a ton of info- I appreciate your time.

I think I am currently trending "large/good/pvm." A large guild would help me make up for not being on all the time, good because it's less drama, and pvm cause I am really more of a merchant at heart than a pvp'er.

So, any representatives from large-good-pvm guilds feel free to PM me.

In the old days my house was at the edge of Wispwood -Nice to see them still around. (Though I really do miss the Orcs)
