Here is a fix - A house vendor can only sell an item to a max of 1 million gold and bank checks cannot exceed 500K.

We won't see any effect of the turnin timer until all the stockpiled BRSKs are used. Sadly EA put in a timer but forgot to delete the kits already in existence. And if you thought your stock could possibly go the same way as the burnt houses in Luna, you'd really stock your vendors up to the eyeballs.

wrong, in this statement the word "all" is missing , "to go after all srcpt.a.dup.

and catching unattend resource scripter/bod runner is one of the easiest

There is a backside to this that we have to remember too. The runic sewing kits are so easy to get that they don't have to be scripted, but high end runic hammers and fletcher tools are so rare that without these scripters there wouldn't be any avaiable anywhere.
The ammount of time and resources spent to get just one heartwood runic you'd have to sell them for billions of gold for it to be worthwhile, and all you get are 15 mongbat loot quality bows.

Not defending scripters here, I'm condemning the flawed distribution systems.

Whoever said that EA doesn't have the money/resources to go after scripters was partially right. EA cannot legally DO anything to catch scripters. The only tip-off a GM has that anyone might be scripting, is usually that they are not there when asked to respond.

The only fool proof way to catch a scripter would be for EA to monitor people's computers for 3rd party programs. Which they cannot legally do. And even if they made it part of the EULA and ToS, i would not allow ANY company to monitor my computer

Also, whoever thought they were smart and said ea should stop that certain little program.....the makers of that certain little program are smarter than you

All they have to say if EA decides to take them to court is that the program was designed for free shards *which it was* and that they cannot help the fact that OSI players use it. Sorry people but scripting isn't going to stop through external means, it has to come within the game. Like somone said, stop giving scripters a reason to script that many bkits. In all honesty, how does that person, even if he DID script all 50 something bkits, how does that hurt you? All he did was make it cheaper/easyer for you to buy one.

I think it's a good thing that armor and BRSK prices are coming down fast. This narrows the crack between "richies" and "poories", same thing with arties getting cheaper every day. Anything that helps us with this inflation is great.

Ye it sucks that scripters make profit with it, but there's no better way atm. Maybe if they turned that heartwood quest to something like: One account can make it 20 times per day, but chance of getting good reward would be heavily boosted.

That would give normal players a chance to get those. Dunno what to with bods...

I have watched the scripter that does the heartwoods across shards and even paged a GM "successfully" once. GM showed up and found that he was scripting then he went poof and I know he did not get let back out of jail right away because his beetle went wild. Thing is a couple days later he was back there scripting away and has been there ever since and this was months ago. I took a little initiative and looked around for this scripter on other shards and sure enough they are not hard to find or identify. Just goto the heartwood once a day and you will "see" the scripter to. Its not all shards either at least not for this one scripters its not but he is on the main ones 24/7 (most of the time anyway LOL)

While they cannot scan your computer for those third party programs I am sure that seeing that they can look at you to see what you are doing they could easily log 2 things legally. How long you are connected to their servers and how often you are doing the same action. Granted you would not catch everyone but it would allow them to come and check in on those who are on 24/7 doing the same thing over and over. I am disabled and play a lot but even I have to go to the bathroom or get something to eat somewhere

I can know longer count how many I have found and called a GM to check on, and at least for me, have gotten the message but they are right back there the next day. I became do disenfranchised that I stopped playing for a while and have stopped even attempting to turn them in because there is nothing like waiting 2 hours or more to get the message that they will look into it and then see the same person there the next day. This includes at the time the bodders that do the luna stair circuit bouncing back and forth on the stairs because of a bagball. This has stopped now only because they run from the corner to the middle of the room and tag the vendors to get then bods from the floor and then run back to the corner to log out.

those bod runners are practically begging to get banned and this is why I believe its someone actually testing the GMs... totally obvious when they dont even have to move to collect the bods as they could be upstairs at an instana log spot using the context menus while hidden and never have to move.

I have one bod account w/ 5 chars and my main account which has my 120 smithy./tailor, and I do the ctrl shift tag thing to grab my bods in luna too because its conveinent....but I dont script it lol

Hell i actually gave away 95% of the junk bods i had to a friend the other day because since, oh, JANUARY ive gotten exactly ONE Bkit lbod, and maybe 5 Hkit lbods....

so anyone that wants to tell me that ONE vendor can have 15-30 Bkits and godknowshowmany Hkits and is gettin em legit, and selling for 1.7m.... is smokin crack!

Same goes for the heartwood fletching tools, and these people know it and thumb their noses at the devs at EVERY chance they get!

Only really negative thing i can say is that IF they did something drastic like -remove bods- is that teh scriptors would just go script something else, and a LARGE portion of the playerbase taht we have left would prolly quit because of EA or whoever owns this game now, removing one of UO's fairly unique features...

Ah anyways, please dont lynch me if you see me grabbin bods in Luna on my newb tailors/smithys ok ? Catch the scripters ! Ill answer you if you ask me if im attended lol
