Hmm. Real Life. In order to earn a gold piece or two, I slay vile monsters, craft items, and mine ore. What? Ah, ye mean in the Spirit Realm!
Now, there, tis an interesting thing. Tis much like a well-known guild based north of Britain does, in our land, although gold is scarce.
Together with a small, overworked team, I give advice on how to survive in a perilous environment, and even how to improve one's lot in it. We hand out free equipment and clothing to those in need, most of whom are new to our town, and also provide food parcels, warm meals, sleeping bags, and toiletries.
We offer counselling, advice and support, and I have personally talked several people out of ending their lives messily and prematurely, when life's bombardment has become too much for them to bear.
I assist with the running of groups for children, am jointly responsible for keeping the financial records in good order, raise funds for helping the needy, I create computer programs and databases, do a small amount of business analysis, maintain a network, design appropriate forms and other documents, create presentations at least once a week for groups of about 30 people, help to gather and redistribute items to the needy, handle about 25% of all correspondence, and many areas of administration, and maintain a charity's website.
All as unpaid, voluntary charitable work. And nay, I have not been sentenced to a lifetime of community service by a judge! I do it because there are people out there in desperate need.
Now, ye know far more than ye ever wanted to about me.
I'll wager ye are now sorry ye asked!
Back to slaying dragons. Dragon-slaying time is hard to find, betwixt all of that!
Be safe!
