France was awesome. i had so much fun.

A few people that i talked to that went said that didnt like it and alot of people kept telling me how ignorant the French are and how much they hate us but its just not like that. I was there for 9 days and i didnt mean one ignorant person. most went out of thier way and spoke in english to you and if you even attempted to talk to them in French they seemed extatic.

but, back to the trip itself. i went to southern france for the first 7 days, went into Spain for the afternoon, then spent the last 3 days in Paris. the weather was perfect, it was sunny and hot every day.

we pretty much did all the tourist stuff and then hung out with the kids from the other school in our rooms at night. i dont think i got more than 4 hours of sleep any night.

it went pretty smooth till the last night. it was one of the girls from the other school bithday so they were having a little party for her and a few of us went up. to make a long story very short my teacher had to get a key made for my room to wake me up 10 minutes before the bus left for the airport. 5 of us from my school drank that night and he ended up cathing 3 of us (not me) and he was PISSED. (which i he had the right to be) the other 3 guys that drank were puking all morning, it was so bad.

oh, did i forget to mention one of the kids throwing up was his son?

such a good trip. i would go back if i had the chance and recommend that you go there if you get the opportunity.

Were you in Toulouse? I spent a couple of weeks there a few years aog. It was really nice. I have been to Paris too, about four years ago.

Most of the people are pretty nice, as long as you are polite, and make an effort. A lot of people go over there with an attitude, and can't understand why people are rude back to them. Some of the people that deal with tourists a lot, selling tickets, or working in some stores, are kind of rude. I think they just get tired of the dumb tourists, I think I probably would too.

Where did you go in Paris? The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Invalides, Notre Dame... it is a cool place. A little hectic though.

no, i wasnt in Toulouse. i went to Biaritz, all over the Provance region, then up to Paris. i think i saw almost everything while i was in Paris except the Arche de la Défense and the Pantheon (sp).

your right about the people too. the only semi rude ones were the ones that you mentioned and i think i would be that way too

Did you go to Versaille? That is neat too, the gardens are really cool. The day I was there it poured rain all day and I got soaked.

yea, went there too. very very nice place to see. well worth the drive from paris

i got my pictures back today and they messed up. they gave me a roll of someone elses. so im short a roll and i got an entire roll of pictures of the inside of a beer distributer instead

they arent doing anything.

what i think happened is there should been a fat envelope full of pictures and then the rest in a small envelope all in the same package. i got the samll one and i think they just left the big one out.

they did at first but i went back down and made them give me the money for that roll back

Depending on where you go, there are different things to see. For the nature types, theres 267 miles of the Appalachian Trail in Maine. And there are several decent sized lakes (Sebago lake and moosehead are rather large). Some people like to go to see the source of Poland Springs water (that's the same source I get my tap water from, and no chemicals are added to tap water either).

Others like to go to the small shopping outlets or to areas like kittery or the old port. Portland is a decent sized city. (Greater portland population is around 250k). So you still get the things like baseball games, hockey games, shopping malls, etc. There is also the bay right here, so you can take casino cruises or whale watch cruises. There's also the ferry to Canada here.

For those who love ot take pictures, the Portland Head Light is here. It's the most photographed / semi-famous lighthouse. And there are other war-era forts in the area to check out. Others like to take pics of the Bush Summer home here. I guess for some reason people care what George's Bush's house looks like **shrug**.

I guess it depends on what you are into. There's a little bit of everything here, depending on where you go.

Warrior babble is pretty dead then =(

Corran and Shaunboy were key to keeping the warrior babble alive near the end of our reign =/

Well I moved on from babbling :|
School + 40 hours of work a week + staffdom + FFXI = no time to babble.


and damn im suprised that warrior forum has a babble thread still :p

today:

went on UO today a bit -- watched the parade at brit bank. lord Sinalittle lost his eyebrows <so he says>. Ran over to Skara. Watched the orcs and yew army talk roleplayish.
got on my murderer. won 50k for a duel. logged out went out with friends. got soaked by rain. walked around for hours and had fun anyway.

ahh happy days.

I'm back from vacation tho.

Maine was cool. A couple of days in Kennebunkport; nice place, but stinks of money; saw the Bush house, nice pad, but I don't know why people photograph it and stand around watching it. Went to Mt Desert Island; really cool; hiked around Jordan Pond; watched ducks get swamped in the ocean; saw the balancing rock; listened to cobble stones getting rolled around by the waves. It was a good vacation.

That's what I did on my summer vacation.

At 2:24 am it was almost 5 am where Killah Kitty is. That means someplace with a half time zone like Newfoundland.

and nah bmarsh i don't play anymore, i wish i did but i need a new vid card for my pc. when i get some money together i'm gonna see if i can come back.
path tells me my old chars won't be good anymore cause pvp is different now since AoS and all the doom items =/
