I am not going to your footwork for you Fayled. Go find your own links and info, if you are that unfamiliar with the entire Factions concepts and subsequent related communications from both the Dev's and the players.

Factions = PvP. Plain and simple. Being in factions and disappearing into Trammel is an abuse of this system, as it does not allow the PvP to happen, while stealing the benefits of being in Factions. Plain and simple.

Folks who do use this system know the correctiveness of my statements and requests and do not dismiss them out of hand because of lack of knowledge. Unless, of course, they are simply trying to protect their faction Trammel characters. We all know that this happens but we do NOT accept it.

I used to always think of you as highly enlightened in your conversations. In this venue, you are causing disappointment in that title.

you make no argument..

you say everyone that is in factions should be forced to stay in fel or freely be attacked.. yet you "think" that over 1/2 of players in factions never goto fel to fight..

first, i dont see how you get these numbers..
second, if there are players in factions that dont fight in fel, they will quit, so you wont be able to "hunt" them anyway?

all your changes will do is force people to quit the faction system.

i play factions, i have a fel house.. yet i would not stay in factions if it means i would have to not be able to use my chars except for pvp. i do pvm, pve, banksit whatever.. i also do things in tram, ilsh, tok, malas..

just because im in factions should not exclude me from playing this game the way i want to.. its bad enough that i cant be healed or resurrected in fel by anyone else not in factions..

Yes because UOGuide is a definitive source of Development information. Oh wait, I forgot...anyone can write anything they like there. Never mind, scratch my last statement because I just realized it is only a definitive source of information that was created by players.

I don't fully dispute it being a PvP system, but it is more than that, despite its current design flaws since the name of the game has changed over the past 10 years.

While UOGuides definition might be close to the design specifications, the Design specifications are 10 years old and really have little meaning to you. Do not quote something in which you are not trying to enforce, you have yet to prove you participate in actual faction warfare and only go on to prove little for your argument.

Again I will point out people not fighting and wearing artifacts have very little effect on you currently. And assuming they ever did anything to actually fix the system/game then it would have even less significance to you, so why are we bringing up something that does not apply to you?

If you wear faction gear...anywhere...there is no such thing as non-consensual PvP. Your point makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever.

There is no "betrayal" at all. If you wear faction gear....you have agreed to, and you SHOULD be freely attackable at any time and anywhere by enemy factions. Period..end of story. Be it at Luna bank or farming SA or in Fel Despise. Anywhere..anytime. You absolutely agreed to it by joining the faction and putting on the gear.

In all truth, the above statement simply says it all. There is no defence position to argue from, in any fashion. If you join, you agree to a life of fighting and living for your faction..everywhere, all the time and anywhere. THAT is what Factions are about. No arguements, no excuses, no grey areas. Simple, pure and black and white.

Allow Faction hunting across all areas of this game. It should be done. It MUST be done.

The game.... and the intent of Factions will be FAR better for it. You will also see a swift and decisive end to the abuse and exploitation of the Faction system in Trammel.

I agree with Widow Maker, also possibly there should be 1 base per facet. and the faction that controls a facet gains strategic benefit to controlling it over other faction players, but not normal players besides the armor etc..

I think storyline is somewhat important too, there should be some reason for the fighting and that story should change once in a while.

if no changes are made, I think factions should probably be removed from the game. we already have "factions" anyway when you consider guild vs. guild conflict

I don't think this is a horrible idea either, it's sort of like saying well I want to be in the serious Felucca fighting, but maybe I don't want to go red, maybe I'd like to be able to get out and be a regular blue again and be able to go back to Trammel.

again, without significant changes, storyline, etc.. the system should probably be flushed down toilet.

as players we can do 2 things,

#1 reject the status quo by demanding action one way or the other

#2 engage in lively debate about what the changes should be

beyond that it is up the developers...

I don't think all the cultural digressions really have any relevance, remember they have to develop for the Asian market as well.

This is precisely what I feel is destroying factions. Since they introduced factions artifacts, champ spawns raiding guilds have gone factions. They are still champ spawn raiding guilds and they do not fight for their faction, they are just there for the artifacts.

They will attack anything that is not in their guild, included faction mates. This is far worse than trammies joining just for the stuff and hiding in an other facet.

This is correct, the champ spawn and guild fighting doesn't really mesh with the faction fighting in a natural way. You are annoyed that you have to join factions to get the benefit generally for PvP, and factioneers are annoyed when other players have ulterior motives. That's much more of an issue than the Trammel thing, but both are problems.

As far as the Faction gear goes, you are not involved in it, as is obvious. Unless you are yet another of the Trammy factioneers. That would explain your stance, due to the fact that anyone who actually takes factions for what they were designed to be and what they are / were meant to be... does not seem to have much of an issue with this. Nor have they in the past, as I recognize some who have posted favorably, yet again...for the Dev's to make this right.

No True Fel based faction member can or will rightfully oppose this and most would and will welcome it with open arms. It does not affect anyone or group they are currently fighting. It only affects the lying, cowardly pukes who stole our gear and ran off to Trammel so they wouldn't get slaughtered. Traitors all! I would gauge that most all of the insane point holders are tucked safely away in some house in Tram, as well.

IF you, by some obvious mistake, WERE in my Marine Corps, akin it to one of my brothers or sisters seeing some mommy boy puke wearing my uniform. There is not a single Marine alive today that does not know what is going to happen to that civilian. In a most direct and forceful manner.. we would all make sure that civilian was shown what they were doing wrong and they would be aggresively assisted in un-clusterfracking themselves. And rightfully so...they did not EARN it. Factions IS very similar to my beloved Corps. You want to wear the uniform, you EARN it. You can draw many correlations between Factions and the military brotherhood. After all...it is exactly that.
