let me tell you one thing about this game that needs changed..

so im killing a harbinger by myself, letting the oaks spawn help out..

it takes about an hour or so and at the last minute its very red lined, 2% health left, some jerk comes and hits one time and takes off with the robe..


i saw it on the corpse and before i could click it, it vanishes and the other guy runs off.



makes me not want to play very much when i work hard for something and you dont get it.

you wouldnt see robe taken unless he was in your party, in which case.. dont party with thieves

otherwise loot would be splitted and you would get your share, but yes he might have gotten the robe even then. but you wouldnt have seen it still.

i saw the robe in the corpse, there was no party.
i didnt hit it much, cause everytime i hit it would almost kill me..
so i just stood back and let the spawn kill it.

when i opened the corpse the robe was there and when i clicked it the game said i must wait to perform an action and it vanished.. it happens sometiems and clicking the corpse again makes it reapear but not this time.

it only had a couple thousand gold so i think the other guy that came in took it. and lag makes you see everything in the corpse on the sa client for a split second..

its pretty much how its been for every one of them i did.. ive only actually gotten one robe.

i just found the crystal i didnt think i had any left.

it seems this game is very unfair when it comes to looting and rights.

sometimes i wish it was a single player game.

i tried to hide up in the corner all by yourself at 3am and still someone comes in at the last minute and does enough damage to get rights to loot it.

You didn't do enough damage. The spawn did a multitude of your damage points. That's why there was no instanced corpse. The way you killedit let it die with a public corpse.

You're not being 100% honest, I was there when you were doing the Harbinger because I was testing out the strength of the werewolves.
You summoned the harbinger at an Oaks Spawn. You didn't really hit it but let the pixies hit it.
My guildie, who was there and hitting it with his sampire, was the one who got the robe. But instead, you accused me when I was actually a screen off running around with my werewolf.
When you do not do a majority of the damage and you let monsters hit it, the corpse becomes a public corpse.
I guess you should do these in more private places so you don't run the danger of this, not at a spawn where a lot of people are.

Well, at least you didn't have to work hard to kill it.

Perhaps try to use a char that can solo it next time? Or *gasp* kill it with some guildies.

The way you described it was fair game to anyone. I once camped a CASTLE IDOC for 2 MONTHS, to only have it raided out from under me by a buncha people breaking into it when they should not have been able to ON THE DAY IT FELL.

I got hella pissy, but I am still playing to this day.

This is the case of the spawn doing most of the work, the very little your "thief" did was pretty much equal to what you did and combined was just enough for anyone to get looting rights let alone a single person. It happened at Navery all the time during the short period the falling rocks were way to overpowered due to a glitch after a patch.

Simply put you didn't do enough damage to get your own looting rights so anyone that did damage got a community corpse to loot from. It has always been this way, your bad for using a very public area and not doing the job yourself, but depending on in game mechanics to do the job for you (the bad vs good karma mob).

I do feel for you, I really do. Like is said when navery rocks were overpowered there was a few i was solo until the last hit when someone ran in and got the tangle drop for only getting one hit. It sucks, but in the future bring guildies, bring friends, that way the person that gets it will more than likely be an ally that might just hand it over since it was your crystal.

Or do it like we did on our last one, spawn it in shimmering, kill shimmering, you have ten min to kill harbringer. SIMPLE. No interruptions from unwanted people. and just in case you dont kill it right away have a few backup set of keys so you can go back right away, kill shimmering again and then get back to your harbringer.

And before you say server down will despawn him, we spawned one, left it, and it was still there a week later.

The best thing about shimmering, (or medusa's lair) is that there is an alter to get rezzed at so you dont have to worry about dying and losign your stuff.
