Lesser Hiryu Problems

With 120 bushido... my lesser hiryu never reliably follows directions. Yes, he's fed.
Are you not able to control them with bushido?

Actually mostly just having trouble with getting it to kill anything. "follow" and "guard" seem to work ok.

Maybe he's a coward? And yes, I know that's not helpful... I have no idea... :)

How many previous owners did your hiryu have? Has it been released/retamed? Ever gone wild?

I'll have to get my hiryu out of the stables to see how difficult it is to command.

He was a fresh tame.

Also, have to remember this is a Lesser Hiryu controlled by Bushido, not Taming...

I thought that bush just allowed you to give some commands and the ability to mount them?

I could be wrong though, I would have to pull out my samurai and check it out on his Hiryu.

If you feed him and then issue commands does he begin to work correctly for a little while?

I just took out two dexxer characters with bushido skill and had their lesser hiryus kill some hoppers and a bunch of crystal elementals. They had no problems controlling the pets or getting them to kill things. The only time one of the pets hesitated was when there were trees/bushes between it and the crystal elemental, which is what I would have expected from any pet.

The first character I took out has 84.5 real bushido skill that was bumped to 97.5 with jewelry. The hiryu is just "tame" and won't bond until her bushido skill gets up to 90. (She's had that hiryu for several years, from before some of the ownership/bonding requirements kicked in. I keep forgetting to work on her to raise the bushido the rest of the way to 90.)

The second character has 120 real bushido and her hiryu is bonded.

If I am remembering correctly, once upon a time any tame would have a chance to refuse attack commands if the creature it was to attack was too powerful for it. There have been a lot of changes to pet commands, but I wonder if there is some lingering code.

This seems to be the issue. I am training a freshly bonded swamp dragon and it refused to attack a shadow elemental, even when I discorded the shadow. I invis myself and let the shadow elemental aggro on my swampy. After a bit of training on the discorded shadow, the swampy will attack the shadow ele and other tougher creatures.

So the question is, does your lesser have any training?
