Brittle still means it can't be powdered.
But it has 255 durability and can be repaired like imbued items from Pub86.
You can use this item for a long time.

Brittle is pretty much the same as imbued items now. They all come with 255/255 durability but cannot be powdered.

From the patch notes:

Brittle – Cannot have powder of fortification applied to the item. Items spawned with the brittle property will have a default max durability of 255.

I don't know if brittle stuff wears down faster than imbued though.

I always thought brittle broke faster..like the mana phasing orbs break fast..
