i wish I could use that piece its perfect just needs the 8lmc I have to have 11lmc on each piece to get the 55 total or id be all over it. icq me a price you want for it Id give some for it just in case I found something that would make up for it

The number on the piece doesn't change if you remove mage armor... But studded, bone and stone pieces gain an inherent 3 LMC if they are not mage armor.

The actual cap from item property doesn't change, it is 40. For every piece of non-mage armor bone, studded, or stone you get the invisible 3 lmc that can exceed the cap up to 55.

Example:

3 pieces of regular leather with 8 lmc = 24 lmc
3 pieces of studded leather with 8 lmc = 33 lmc (24 + 9)
5 pieces of regular leather with 8 lmc = 40 lmc
5 pieces of studded leather with 8 lmc = 55 lmc (40 + 15)
