I was just reading about tools...
Use a Leather Container Engraving Tool on a leather container like a backpack or pouch.
Except, both regular and white leather dye tubs will not dye these "leather containers".
I know packs have a leather look, texture, and the stitching.

Something I'm missing here, or are they really imitation leather?

The regular back packs are dyed with a regular cloth dye tub. I had this same question come up earlier in the week myself.
