Just need to be among the few well informed attending some EM Event, get a "new" rare item or two and transfer it to some other shard and sell it for tens upon tens of millions....
What is so tough about it if I may ask ??
Yet, I hardly hear anyone complaining about the new "rares factory" that EM Events have become making the whole game ridicolous but when players, me included, dare to question aspects of the game which could get improved and made more player friendly this means wanting things "handed out" ??
Gimme a break.........
How much sense does it make that I went to a whatever EM Event that took me perhaps 1 hour if at all, grabbed a new rare and then sold it like for 30 millions gold and then if I need to advance to Tier 3 of the Zosilem Quests I need 200 Wolf Skins, 200 Undamaged Iron Beetle Scale and 100 Boura Skins which would take me -as the drops and current spawns are-, weeks to gather all ??
Say I offered to buy these 500 items at 50k each, it makes a total of 25 millions. So, rather than spending weeks to gather them I could go to a EM Event, grab a "new" rare spending 1 hour if at all, sell it for 25 millions and use this gold to buy the 500 resources I need.
I would end up moving to Tier 3 with only about 1 hour work or so rather than the weeks I would need gathering them myself.
I do not know others but personally, I see this as Design I have trouble agreeing with when it might make it to play out as a deterrant for players to actually play the damn game on their own and thus gather the needed items on their own but pushes players to find other, creative ways (like attending the new rares factory that EM Events have become...) to reduce the time needed to be invested into game activities to get somewhere.
One of the reasons I often see as presented to justify scripting and the macroing of activities in the game is because they are either too time consuming or designed in a way that it is not fun or interesting for the player to carry them out in the intended way.
Well, I see the gathering of such a vast quantity of resources with the current drop rates and spawn dynamics as pretty much a similar situation, it is designed in a way that it may prompt players to try find other "creative" ways to get around the time consuming problem....
Hunting is hunting... Do you thing when you go deer hunting that they spawn right there in front of you for you to just shoot them down?
Get serious.
One thing is hunting for one, or two, another is hunting for some 1,000s..........
