So are the reason many are using leafblades simply because of the Feint special ability? Its DPS isn't really impressive.

Also, whats up with the popularity of Leafblade of Ease, all it has is UBWS as default (I sold a recipe for 100 Relic Frags) and you can imbue UBWS fairly easily on a normal Leafshade anyway.

Leafblade:
One handed (can use potions)
Feint special (gives 120 skill points for those who don't want parry, makes it tougher to kill people who have parry (with monsters))
Quick (Don't always need max SSI, depending on character build)
Fencing weapon with highest damage over time (armor ignore helps a lot there too)

Leafblade of ease:

(note: not my image) Notice the nine properties? (though lower requirements and luck don't help much...)

There's another reason people make leafblades of ease, but that has little to do with warriors (and that's all I have to say about that).

with enough lmc you can chain AI 3-5 times if the leech procs enough.

I run Assassin armor with Leaf blade. You can still fit 20 LMC to help with chaining AI and the 20 ssi means you can use the ssi property slot for a slayer property in your imbued weapon.

Fient helps alot and AI makes up for the dps.

I thought you couldn't use specials with UBWS if you didn't have the native skill needed for the weapon.

I can understand it would be great for creating Runic weapons with, but imbuing? Would that at all be any good as you already lost 1 property with UBWS.

The only thing you can't do with UBWS that you could do with a weapon-in-your-specialty is evasion. So specials are fine (good to note since my archer/macer uses a UBWS war fork for PvP, bleed and disarm are handy for an archer!).

And no idea why someone would waste the ingredients for a leafblade of ease if their plan was to imbue it, except in the case of case #2, in which case they're using a low end hammer and only keeping the ones with swing speed increase at-or-near max (thus saving relic fragments on UBWS/HML/HSL/DI/HLA or something similar).

This really only has 5 properties. The luck and lower req are there "for free" because it's made out of gold. The DI is from Arms Lore, and the UBWS is because that weapon always has it...

I know, because I made that with a Val hammer :)

Maybe you don't get it, but it is more than 5 properties.
