lava lobster traps

i walked allaround the abyss with a lava lobster trap tryin to fish somethin up with it and all i am gettin is a message sayin fish dont seem to be bitten here, and how high does fishin need to be to fish in lava beause i have 104.3 and i used 4 lava poles and nothin

At 110 I have no luck with lava traps, but got 2 fishes from first lava pole burned.

Sorry if iam taking over this thread but i didnt want to make a new thread. When double clicking a lava lobster trap to get the generic facing (to get all traps stacking) they lose a part of their name. Means after double clicking the "lava" part of the trap is missing. Do they Do they still work? The color stays the same tho.

Aye this is worrying me too. I dont have skill enough to test yet.I clicked my traps to get them in the same direction and they lost the "lava" word

yes they still will work, you just have to pay attention to the hue of the traps your using. When they put in the fix that made the lava traps lose their lava properties they forgot to fix the name dropping the word lava.

I think that comes under the heading of 'not yet discovered'. My best guess, but only a guess, would be 'dread lobster' or maybe 'tunnel crab'?

I believe they are supposed to pull up lava lobsters. Having used said traps prior to the change in the facings, and yes they lose the lava tag even though you can still use them in lava. I am 120 fishing in skill and the fish still don't bite. Prior to the change when I had used lava traps long before I was Legendary, lava traps would at least pull up plain crustaceans as well as named ones (unsteamed I might add). I would agree with the above post that since they changed the traps to one direction, the color of them allows them to be used in lava but they are definately broken. Just saving mine until they fix them. Have also tried them in fire dungeon on the rope bridge they don't bite there either.

If they need to rework lava poles can they also make at least the new ones as stackables ?

I do not see why lava traps can stack but NEW lava poles cannot.
