Are these things still coming or have they thrown in the towel? Is there even gonna be an update in EAL this week?...just wondering as I've seen little or no mention regarding these from the devs for awhile now

Lava Lamp game, Amnesty, etc.

I have a question...
Besides the 10 minutes it takes to match your cards or trade with someone else(20 if you include lag)...Do you really have a lot of fun with the lava lamp game?
Also, besides the finished product of having a multi color lava lamp, is the actual game experience fun and does it improve your game experience?
Personally for me, I like the idea, but after your match is made, you're stuck holding 5-10 cards for unknown amounts of time because during orange they didn't announce an end time. With the property and item limits, I get more aggrevated with holding those cards for a week or two, than the game is worth.
Ok so anyway as for the OP I think its coming they just have too many things going on, like with the "anti bot measures" and bugs and stuff that is more important. It will come...they haven't canceled it.
And today isn't over, we could still get an update lol...Last week the blog post was on a Thursday, could be this week too?...

I've never seen the date as March 8th or April 8th. Where do people see that specific date at?

I think they are talking about the cut-off date to qualify for amnesty.

I would assume they are still coming...
I am waiting until the 15th, when the supposed gift roll out was supposed to be, (that amnesty bloggy thing said 2-3 weeks when first phase would start) to really say anything about it. I am pretty miffed about the whole thing, frankly. I got that email that I should reactivate my account, I would get my locks and what not... what a crock of crap. I assumed that it would be soon after logging in with that old account... My eldest sim is 42 days old (I think?)-that's what I get for assuming. I would think you would have the ability in place WORKING (it was in a blog or thread somewhere that the ability was 'not ready for prime time' or something like that) before you send a mass email out to former customers.
The lava game was not fun. I partook, as I just happened upon people that had the specific numbers I needed, and I traded... I don't really see the point, as that store lot had TONS of them and was trading them off (was that really the point of the game?)- you say what number you needed and they had it, from what I saw. The 2nd game was really incomplete in my eyes... some people have the orange cards, yet some don't. I know, they are supposed to have the list of people that completed it somehwere... I don't have faith like that.
Yet the devs are doing the whole money cap/cash in and out thingy... If I was in charge, I do believe that I would fix/create one thing to completion... and then move on when it works correctly.
But... yeah, I'm still waiting on my amnesty stuff and I *think* they are still working on it.

You should be lucky you got the email early enougth to take part in the lava lamp game. I logged in and reactivated about 2-3hrs after i recieved and opened my email but missed the red game completely and missed the start of the orange game. Now how am i supposed to get the full set??????

Either way, we've held on this long, the 30th is less than 3 weeks away now.....so at least we can see the light at the end of the tunnel no matter what

I like the lava lamp card games. I think they are fun and will get more challenging because they have so far.
I'm really really excited for amnesty. I want to get my skills up so badly, but I need my locks! I hope we see them soon. I'm more excited about the skill lock than the anniversary gifts, lol.

I hear you on the locks. The best part of the trees to me is that you green fun on them while teaching or being taught....the mature fruit is OK, but it bugs me because it's random which is why I never buy any.....it'd be my luck I'd spend 1k on a piece of fruit and end up getting a point in something I didnt need on that sim and just had to let decay. Now if we could pick the skill that got the point then WOOT that'd be a different story.
But with the locks I can finally finish maxing all 3 skills on all my sims...right now some are skilled past their locks because they need to be to craft orders, but decay is tough.

Lava Card game is not too hard if you have money.
Here is what I do. I land onto a store that has 30 people trying to trade cards and I shout out: "Who wants to swap yellow for red + 100 simoleans?" I get like 5 queued in trades in seconds. Saves a lot of headache!

It is something new. For that alone I will be happy when it starts back up.
They said that it does not matter which sim on an account holds the cards. So use one of the sims that u don't play or make a new sim on your account for the cards. Get the sims a home and put down the cards.

Lately it seems that everything is getting pushed back...date wise. I don't see it coming back until after amnesty. I have to guess the devs are so busy getting ready for it, Amnesty that is. So I can understand having to wait a little longer.
