Friends, Allies, Countrymen.
This notice serves to state that KSS is no longer a part of the HHSF2 alliance.
The reasons are simple enough. The Knights of The Silver Serpent have always tried to stand fast for Truth, Honor and Courage.
We find, more and more frequently nowadays, that those standards put us at odds with a fair number of individuals within the Alliance. I do not wish to foul the air with individual accusations. Suffice it to say that, when we find supposed allies committing acts which we would consider crimes, we are faced with the choice between ignoring the crime, or attacking an ally.
We are all known by the company we keep. I wish to do honor to the trust that Lord Py Lethius had in me, and part of that means doing everything in my power to preserve KSS's good name.
Therefore, after consultation with all members who could be reached at present, I have decided to remove KSS from the HHSF2 alliance.
This does not mean that we have automatically become enemies of HHSF2.
It does not mean we will be attacking members on sight.
This does not mean that we have left the White Council, either.
Members of the White Council can find my more detailed remarks on the Council's private scrolls.
It simply means that we are striving to remain true to our standards as knights.
We will still aid any person of a good nature, regardless of guild, who we find in need of assistance. We will still defend the weak, and protect the innocent. We will still cast a blind eye at the false "Lord" British's murder scrolls, and make up our own minds as to who is a criminal.
But, I feel it is better to be protectors, defenders, men and women of honor, than simply to be an ally, at least, at present.
