KOC is good and bad for Siege

First of all I am relatively new to siege, I have been here for about 3 months now. I joined the Guild of NEW which I will say is the best thing for a noob in siege.

I read the forum about 3 or 4 times a day and along with game playing I have come to notice a few things.

1. KOC is good for the game for a few reasons. In any game you have to have a good and bad guys. Well KOC has determined that they are the bad guys of Siege. They love going around PKing anyone and everyone. Hell I have been killed 4 times on siege all by KOC. So as I read a lot on the forums I do understand the hatred or discontent for KOC. I will give KOC this, they are good at what they do in more ways than one.

2. On the flip side to that KOC is bad for Siege as they do kill anyone and everyone including members of NEW. I know because 2 of the times I was killed I was a member of NEW and they dry looted my both times. Now what this can do for Siege is discourage new members from coming over to our shard which in turn is bad for Siege.

Now with that said I want to say this to KOC. I like having you guys around especially now that a buddy and I have started our own guild together. It is fun to do. See we came over to Siege after playing on Legends for almost a year and wanted to get into the PvP aspect of UO. Now that we are over here it was easy to find a guild that you just love to hate. I myself am not that good as a pvper yet, but I plan on becoming one. I am going nowhere nor is our guild the Fellowship of Vengence. The way I see it we will join in any alliance that has a grudge agianst KOC. We are almost done with our templates (which I will talk about that in another thread coming next) and we will not run but stand and fight against KOC forever! Now I do plan on dying a lot but hey that is Siege right? In any case it will be fun and I look forward to doing battle with you guys very soon.

Whoever you are, if you run into Yahaxithonix an decide for whatever reason
pvpers come up with and try to pk Yahaxithonix. Let it be known that most
Pkers never make an attempt to talk with people; it is just kill and loot. Talking
first always tend to smooth the difficulty of the conflict before. Trying to talk
with Yahaxithonix after the kill is TOO LATE! You will be cursed. Your guild will be cursed.
I will not talk will you. I will not allow you to rez. I will never help you or any of
the members of your guild forever. It will not matter if you change you membership
to another guild.

Over two years ago I have washed my hands of the PvPers on this shard. I will
still play here away from the pvpers. If thoses like WyRm, Krystal, etc want to
seek and kill... well go ahead and waste your time. Even if they find me, I will
just give them no game.
Occasionally, I do accidently kill those that try to hunt Yahaxithonix and
I am usually very sad by that. I do not loot!

The Community of Pkers have shown me too much indifference in the past,
enough said!

Hiya Stealth, Siege used to have many 'evil' guilds who would pk anyone and everyone. As the shard is now quite empty compared to what it was we don't have very many guilds who are pks in the true sense anymore. I think WyRm is the only 100% pk left now from those we had. We need him, we need KoC, we need the good and the evil.

When VmP were around they were the guild new folks had to be aware of, we needed VmP. NEW have to be aware that one guild will pk them no matter what their title, VmP would do that, then B^G, now some of KoC will do it.

Regarding KoC, sure some will pk you (a few won't) but they donate items to help new guys out just the same as any other guild, so while one may loot you dry on one hand, you can be sure another is donating items to help you out again on the other hand.... it balances out.

I won't say it would be good for Siege if a lot of guilds were pking new folk because it wouldn't. We all need to remember most new people are coming from Trammel and it's a big step for them to come to us on Siege, therefore the majority need a little time to settle and get used to things, gain some skills and whatnot, hopefully becoming more 'Siegified' before they need to prepare to fight a lot or die trying.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the guilds of Siege for all they do for our new people, with advice, donations etc., and to KoC also for instilling in them that little bit of fear.

Have you ever heard of my guild? Justice serves Vengence (JSV) ? Were the "good guys" on this shard, although we get a bad rap because alot of our members come from pvm backrounds and got tired of getting raided or pked so they adopted a sort of "anything goes" policy when it comes to pvping, I admit I personally frown upon such policys but we are indeed sworn enermys of KOC, if your not interested in factions , we have many other none faction guilds in out alliance.

Cash, we enjoyed our battle with your vessel and your tamer support vessels yesterday. We wish we did not have to repeatedly target our photon torpedoes to blow up your tamer support as much as we did, but the Beetle Weapon was too much for us to handle along with your warship.
Eventually our life support fuel was depleted and we had to enter cloaking mode. Fear not, the BORG will board your ship and assimilate you in the future.

Im not impressed by KoC all ive seen from them is runnin (oddly faster then everyone else i might add) and ganking no one in the guild has a chance against me. A guild tag is just that ... a guild tag, but since ya mention KOC, well the KOC here is never going to compare to the original Keepers of Chaos that once was some 250 strong on Chesapeake back in the day. But then back then there was no itemised bs post AOS pvping and dread lords really were more dread lords than anything now.

So to myself hailing from Chesapeake once surrounded by the orig. KoC in my neighborhood,

back when we could collect heads for bounty...........THIS KOC is...pale by comparison *to me* it does not have the *history* nor the ummmmmmmm *rep* of the original famous infamous Chesapeake KoC 250 strong at one time *also banned by EA* in the end, KOC !

That said to me the one bearing the name WYRM will always be VMP to me.

He hath slain me a lot, but I find him entertaining *most of the time* if alone.

As for gankers drylooting everyone everytime ...cuz they do that cuz they can but always drylooting NEW whom are poorer to me just says *GREED* playing evil or pks or the bad guys does not mean that they always have to be assess to those they KNOW are lots poorer and just hope to maybe survive here I would give em some slack on the looting em all the darn time and at least say *welcome to Siege* when or if they killed em and offer em a res...they can play vile evil 999999.999% of the time even 100% does not mean they can not BE CIVIL to new players here even once or twice that first time they kill em. They do TEACH...can teach can welcome...can show em a lot if they ...would do so.

One of the first killings I had as a new oddly was one that normally always kills and dryloots, everyone he can. Maybe he was just feeling *warm snuggy*that day and did not take everything my new here had on her...just shouted DIE INSOLENT BLUE and said welcome to Siege to me.

Itemised game seems some just dry loot outta greed ...when newer ones are so poor and hope to remain here one should at least think about it a bit...shard dwindles in population everyone here dies gets killed but NO ONE NEEDS as much as the new ones here need .......be it a tool a few gp even a couple regs do the rich HAVE to take it all the time ? They say they playing evil...true but they also *SAYING* without words they playing greedy........the new are poorer while they need the experience they do not need to be drylooted of everything everytime its not their deaths that may frustrate them as much as ... losing the simple 1k they HAD..yes they can re earn it all, again and again...but it is not neccessarry for the mega millionares here to HAVE TO take someone poorers few gp or items *every time* ..despite donations to newer players or NEW...drylooting is just often seen as arsey behavior...get the kill loot some offer a res sometimes, the millionares the billionares forget yes forget ...what poor really is like HERE poor and new here...GREED yes it is here too in quite a few...rich get richer..shard gets smaller and they wonder why ? Is KOC good or bad for Siege........ ? It is just a tag; as any other tag is here of any guilds. And Siege depends on the individuals IN every guild tag to show newer ones here what siege is all about and oddly that is not all ONLY about kill kill dryloot and trashtalk at others.........it's also supposed to be about more and about building a shard UP not always tearing it or others ... down. I see our vast differences and think so long as folks remember we are lots more than just *guild tags* that there are 'individuals' in every guild that are way better than the guilds rep * and worse too* then we still be ok and draw people in here.

And yes I oft post too long posts..so I been doing hardly any posting lately sooo BITE ME !!

I play non aggro crafters and one stealther watching everyone unseen... been playin UO since late 97 nonstop on multiple accts. so.. I do my thing in UO and they do theirs !

And I always help any new player to Siege with their needs to help them develop into strong players (all they have to do is ask and I get asked a lot).. I always open up my chest to them for their needs..I always have and always will... but.. I also tell them to get good cause I do it for them to become fun enemies......

Oddly my absolute worst and best experiences back in the day were from Keepers of Chaos Chesapeake. I know I have said it before oft say it again ...cuz those experiences taught me early on years ago.......not to judge a guild tag when individuals of that same tag can be so UNALIKE.

Case in point...first home I was ever able to buy *for just the price of the deed* for that small existant house in that over crowded shard was via a KoC..yeh Homie owner of 8 houses felt this QZ chr was working hard to make gp up her combat skills and possibly a good person so he sold me one of HIS homes for just the price of the *deed* minus inflation..33k and I had my first ever home on a shard with NO land back in 98 ! That is a KoC doing good for a newer player on that shard.

And my absolute...worst UO game experience was also a KoC..earned my trust friends for 4 yrs..friended to each others houses we babysat each other homes when we went on vacation no incidents in 4 fricken years.......of trust. Then he drylooted 2 of my homes wiped em clean and I nearly left UO..2 very busy vendor homes I had wiped clean every ingot thousands of em, hides cloths regs etc all gone..that too was a KoC............ yet the entire shard restocked me and then some when I had posted everything was taken. So ya see BOTH those were KoC good and horrid same tag different men different ways of treating others. I learned never judge a book by its cover in rl and in this game too..the guild tag is meaningless I tell NEW to this day when I see em...get to know the individuals behind the tags..........guild tags only go so far ... snakes and angels may/do exist in any guilds any of em.

And yes some of my fondest *back in the day memories* of UO also involved that orig KoC but then there were all around me HAHA !

I got HEADS too bounty YESsssssssssss ! I miss the old days everyone but a few speed haxxors all on dial up with layin the smacketh down with just a heavy x bow, or gm made halley was all we needed to WIN pwn and so on. Puffy's fighting style involves at least one stealth/dismount support vessel, but most of the time he is assisted by his entire warship fleet uncloaking at once.

Dante's fighting style involves solo attacks against multiple enemy vessels. He occasionally employs one other warship for assistance, but has virtually never been spotted with more than one assisting warship.

Both of these starship captains can cause severe devastation in a short amount of time. However any underdeveloped human child can deduce that if an equal number of warships of Dante's caliber were pitted against an equal number of Puffy warships, none of the latter would remain.

Very strange events have led me to believe Soulweaver and Puffy are in cohoots,
1)Me and Puffy being becoming friendly aquaitences
2)Right after i put my acct. up for sale (same day) Soulweaver reg.his stratics acct.
3)shortly after that Solweaver q's me and says he wants to buy my acct.
4)Ran in to Puffy like a day after that and Puffy encourages me to sell my acct. to soulweaver saying: He recommends Soulweaver as a buyer
5)Then I hear about the Soulweaver in HEMP fiassco (everyone agrees this happened). Still thinking of selling my acct. to Soulweaver.
6) Then i see Flauna101 posting on Soulweaver's posts to beware of this Person.
7)I contact Flauna101 via PM and he he sends me a VERY detailed account of what happened between him and Soulweaver. After talking to Flauna101 I sense(with Red's Ninja senses ) that he is a very legit older type player and his acct. of what happened between the two seem perfectly logical.(I can see if I can send you his main pm if you like). Tell me Shak why would Flauna101 a very respect Seller on these boards be warning ppl about this Brand new poster non-stop. It's my feeling that a person would only expend this energy if they really had a strong reason behind it ie. like he got ripped off.
8)At this point I only had a small feeling that Puffy was involved with Soulweaver, being that he strongly recommend Soulweaver as a buyer, and had no real proof of a conection between the two, until, yesterday I was in a small battle with Soulweaver (a char named Soulweaver)and who comes running out of nowhere but Puffy seeming to aid Soulweaver (he was on a direct course for us, no other ppl were around to inform Puffy, it was early morning US time. My hunch is that Soulweaver either q'd or told in vent Puffy that he was battling someone. Since Soulweaver didnt know me from the boards he prob told Puffy to come and help him fight someone. Puffy did not attack Soulweaver as they claim happened, because I was out there in stealth mode. They were just standing there looking at each other (talking in vent?) and then they both run off.
8) Puffy has told me when I asked him that he doesn't know Soulweaver (so why did he recommend him to me originally). Also Soulweaver admits in his posts yesterday that he does know Puffy from another shard and he (Puffy) ripped him off (again if true why would Puffy recommend me to sell him my acct. acct.)
9) Koc members seem to be defending Soulweaver on the boards everytime ppl post negitive views about him (strange being that he is a JVS, KoC would never defend a legit JVS member)
10) a week ago I was stealthing around Luna and saw Pwnography in Krystal's house. (now thats just wierd being he in JVS)


Ya know shak, I just read the cards as I see em. And what I see is 2 old buddy's (Puffy and Soulweaver)playing a little game on the shard (and they are playing it well). Joining enemy guilds, setting ppl up for [word deleted] action, it's something that frankly considering Puffy's rep and all the other things that I listed above, it's not hard to imagine him doing it.

one more thing where did Soulweaver and his chars all of a sudden come from. They are Red fully developed (think Puffy's chars with name change).

Im sure they will be more careful now that ppl are starting to talk. and will try to play off any thing against them.

I've also talked to about 10 different regular board memebrs and 90% of them agree that it's not smart to trust Soulweaver.

I really hope you are not involved in this Shak but you do hang with that crew and are one of the ppl defending Soulweaver.

red ur digging wayyyy to deep, and that day u asid u were selling ru account i said to stay and join a guild if u were lonely... i talked to soulweaver when we traded hero/evil items... and he said he was from chesapeake... me playing chesapeake and knowing almost everyone there yea mi gonna know peolpe from chesapeake. i didnt know who he was until a few days ago... so when talked to u originally red, i didnt know i had known him from years ago on chesapeake but i do know him and after dealing with him personally ill def vouch for him as ag ood businessman....
