Killing other Players in Tram

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but imo this should be at the top of the list of things to be fixed ASAP.

So why is it that certain characters with a certain skill can cast a certain spell on a monster and when that hail of rocks comes down on said monster it will kill any players, pets, summons, etc in the immediate area?

Don't get me wrong, I pvp all the time and if you want to open up the whole game to a fel ruleset and let me kill those certain chars before they get their rocks off, fine. But I find it freaking ridiculous that this is allowed in a Tram ruleset where supposedly we're not allowed to kill other players/

Any chance you could be a tiny bit more specific?

I've seen this used as a tactic to grief other players by those proclaiming to "own" the spawn.

If something can be used to geief, it will be

Yes, fighting Navery is where I see this happening.

If it's not a spell then what is it, because it's clearly something another player is doing because if no one else is there it does not happen.

Its a feature to help kill navery quicker, I mean its easy enough when you see the first rocks to move out of the way

They are using a game mechanic that was put in to assist with killing Navery. The pillars you see in her lair have clickable areas on them. If you hit them all fast enough, and the right pattern it triggers the rock slide you are seeing that takes her to half life. It used to redline her tho, so it has been cut back. Players and pets all die when they get trapped in it tho.

Thanks for the info.

I just barely bought SA after returning from a 3 year break and was under the assuption that it was a spell since it only seemed to be happening when a gargoyle was around since they almost all seem to have Mysticism. I read UOGuide and other places to try and find out what it was, but didn't see anything about using the pillars anywhere.

I guess it just really sucks for Tamers and Melee fighters (which is what both my pvm chars are). It's not really that easy to get yourself and your pet out of the way in the very short amount of time you have.

Your Welcome and welcome back.

Yeah, it can be difficult to get out of that range before 130-150 hp's are up for sure. I always try to ask others if they are going to use the rocks. Most of the folks will give you a heads up. Sadly, nothing can be done for the arses/griefers that are around tho. They are still the same as they were 3 years ago lol.

Not when you are webbed. I was "PKed" a few times like this on my sampire while webbed. Now I just set off the rocks first thing so no one can trigger it while I'm webbed and kill me.

Most people assume you know what is going on. They tend to trigger the rocks as soon as they are ready and expect everyone to be on the ball. Every time I have done Navery, most people will usually say something in case you get webbed. There are always griefers around that simply don't care.
