Looks like the Keg that was placed on the bridge, to Blackthorne castle, exploded blowing out portion of bridge. Fire everywhere tried putting out but to no avail. Do we just sit and watch? Is this going on in other places?

bridge is intact on LS just an area blocked on the city end

If you look close at bridge from bottom of steps you'll see a section of bridge missing. I recalled into Castle and it is all ablaze.. This is on Chessie (Tram) if it makes a difference, also noticed the town criers now have the info. Not sure if we are supposed to be able to do anything but as I said I tried putting out fires only way I knew but no good..Also Castle British is shutdown got inside but didn't notice anything unusal. What's next?

Part of the bridge missing on Atlantic also, it was removed at the end of the event Wed night. Fire all over the place here also.

from the non-castle side I could not see a missing segment, but at times, in my MAP, it showed a segment missing - is why i recalled into the castle, figuring it was on fire and destroyed further on, and I wanted to see - I could cross all the way back across intact, then teleport to the grass. Maybe the EM's aren't home yet on LS?

Hopefully your EMs are just catnapping and wake up soon or maybe it's planned this way for some reason. How about the other part? Is Castle British locked down on LS and are the town criers alerting to the situations, or no?
Kylie, thanks for the photo..on Chessie you couldn't stand where you are, it's really intense. Btw, I wonder what caused the fire..I was in the castle a few days ago and didn't notice any kegs at all. The one on the bridge, that exploded, certainly couldn't have caused it or the entire bridge would be on fire..hmm

Ours exploded on LA, but no change yet to BT's castle other than the hole in the bridge.
we fought a 2-3 hour running battle against red rioters after the explosion, that took care of most of the barrels . At one time I had 13 rioters attacking my dragon with the amused EM watching...

Well looks like I can answer my own question about how the fires started. Apparently, according to the Criers, There was a huge riot (I guess when we were all asleep) and rioters burned the castle and also looted Britans Treasury at least here on Chessie. May explain why fire and lockdown is only on certain shards right now but may spread. Pawain, our Criers are now also talking about Ver Lor Reg, not about a meeting but about some misdeeds going on. So bring a BIG stick to that gathering on Sunday. Wish I had time to make a toon for LS, I like parties.

this was our EM event on Origin last week. We had to find and destroy all of the mysterious kegs in Britian and kill all the rioters, then we got to the castle and one of our Event npc's from another story arc we have came running up spouting about how they won't stand for it, don't come any farther you'll be sorry, then the bridge blew up.
British Castle on Origin is also on total lock down.
I strongly think that we should use spoiler tags before sharing the details of an upcoming event since there are still some shards that haven't had the event yet. It was a fun event in Europa because we had no idea about the closing of the gates of Castle Britannia or the explosion of the bridge to the Castle Blackthorn and I doubt it will be a fun event on other shards too if the details of their upcoming event is announced without any spoiler tags.

for those where it's already a Go, on the west side roof of Blackthorn's room, the one with the balcony overlooking the water, did y'all have a "A Corpse of Lord Casca" ? All Names just says "A Corpse Of Lord C...". He is clad in dark pants and cloak with probably a white long sleeve shirt.

I'm curious as to why they would kill off Casca....he was the prosecutor in Ricardo's trial...I left for 4 years so if he was involved in other things I have no idea....

with the webs and such, that sounds like the events pictured in back 2009, Casca died then too - listed as Betrayal of Lord Casca on Hawkeye Pike's site - the web pictures are there somewhere
Mmmm, Makes me wonder if for Drachenfels if the last EM Event : Arachnophobia . I think the EMs are free to fill some things in how they want it. So its not all going to be the same.

Thanks Frarc for the link and sharing the pictures. My bad that I don't have time to read all the EM board threads, but have a few to do the link. While not a shard for me, it's still enjoyable to see fresh new related content, even if fleeting. Anything with holiday or arc content I like, even if only to look and read. Again, Thank you, it looks like much more fun than handing out dead fish, plus I get a preview of what may happen in an event I can attend.
Also makes me think about the future of EM events and Cal's statement of "Git 'em in, Git 'em out" in that while EM wasn't mentioned, perhaps he was talking about the mini-games the events provide - in and out. In a way, making them mini-developers, given time, could offer growth potential to their positions.

Thanks Frarc. I just read Britain Burns and it cleared up the keg mystery for me. At least as far as who put them there. To your point of differences on shards..so far it all seems the same. Chessie BT castle bridge portion blown, castle set afire and brit castle locked down..Drach. same and last night I was in LS where it was all repeated. So maybe event will be same at least this part, except for timing, Chessie happened last week. Quick question.. last night the City guards were actually helping to defend by attacking the Rioters but I've never seen them attack Raiders, any thoughts on this?
Balhae and Arirang still have solid bridges to Blackthorn's Castle. But then again, on those shards, Clainin still lingers on in Haven and Queen Dawn has no gravesite. (On Formosa, which is a pretty busy shard, the bridge to Blackthorn's Castle has a gaping hole in it and Casca's corpse is on the floor in the EM hall. Clainin still lives though and Queen Dawn's never been buried there either, so who knows what happened to her body.)
The City guards are defintly different then the town guards. the City guards fight with you. A good trick is when you are alone is to let a city guard attack a rioter and then help him kill it.
I think they just designed to attack the city rioters not the raiders.

might not even be related, but I saw someone run past with 4-5 something on his tail, all moving fairly rapidly - grabbed one, it had [Guardian] on the end of its blue self - was that the city guards?

From a rp view it's curious that City Guards would allow raiders to loot and kill without defending but will attack their own citizens during a riot.The City guards are defintly different then the town guards. the City guards fight with you. Not exactly correct. On LS we had a great turnout of recruits that defended the city. NO bridges were destroyed, and the only fires were the ones set by rioters.
The nobles are walking around the castle like nothing happened last night. I see only one keg that was left behind.
Also the lore given did not give any hint to who left the kegs. It may have been someone shorter or taller than the gargoyle that was telling the story.
I was also on LS last night but as a new char, I could only really observe not contribute. My info about BT Castle (not Brit Castle) on fire came from what I was reading in chat and what I could hear around the bank. Couldn't confirm as new char because i couldn't recall in there. As far as bridge I said portion was blown not destroyed as it was in the other shards. You're right about turnout it was excellent.

Wow I remember that..I've been a member since 99' but because of RL I've been ducking in and out in spurts.
I recall coming back into game after another hiatus and walking right into this event. I didn't really know what was going on but had a lot of fun figuring things out. There was a real sense of enthusiasum about the event which seems to be missing here. But I keep reminding myself that this is just the start(ish) of the current event and still has the opportunity of being a good one, as we move along, *fingers crossed*.

I was just reading the new chapter "Awakening 3" , and it was very interesting in that one player referenced Exodus as a possible path in this event. After reading this ominous quote from the story I think they might be on to something. “When the yearning arises and all things are taken, The one sealed away will begin to awaken.” There were some other ideas but were written as spoilers so I won't repeat them, but worth a look. This could get interesting.
On Pacific the Part III NPC's and the Rope at Ter Mur that leads into Exodus Dungeon is yet up - uoguide.com got a full update yet on were to go and what to do since the new part seemed to have started yesterday - i wen to Exodus Dungeon to kill some om the critters that shall drop the item that has to be transformed by a tinker but either i had no luck one drops or its not turned on as drop yet on Pac..well see - on the other hand, if THIS is all, to receive a nexus deed to place as deco in your house, rofl...

Who ever talked about the GRINDING factor on the new part of the Arc as mentioned at some spoilers to get a new deeded item in some dungeon (dont want to say to much!! check the spoilers or uoguide) - IT IS GRINDING for an item to turn in to get an item - again....bahh
intresting - nothing on pacific - no news and no nothing in brit - our BT castle isnt burning either...the bridge broken too but thats it - and british castle locked by spider web - but theres other ways to go in anyway...but nothing of interrest in brit on pac - not even raiders anymore...

Ya, seems to be vary shard to shard. Here on Chessy. BT castle burning, bridge portion blown, Brit castle locked down, Town Crier warning that the realm is splitting apart at the seams. While on Gl all seems normal. There is a hole in bridge, but castle is wide open and Crier only announcing a little unrest. No Raiders or Rioters anywhere. But you know what they say happens just before the storm...it gets very quiet.

To Me, that sounds like E$M driven, where all control is released to whim and chaos, instead of planned and executed arc advancement for all players. I'm not meaning any disrespect to EM's, I just think negatively of their combined performance, causing the story arc to lose the required fluidity for it advance in an acceptable manner.
Nimuaq, you make a good point. For my part I would never intentionaly ruin a surprise or event but in this case I assumed that this event was running concurrently with all the shards. If not I think they should. I agree with Sevin's reply above. We should be able to share thoughts and ideas about shard-wide events without putting everything in "hide" . EM's, with respect, should try harder to coordinate so that we can be more open and spontaneous in realtime. Unless, of course, there's some reason they're intentionaly doing it this way. . Btw, thanks for primer on how to create spoiler replys.
This may be basic info. for most but I've never heard of a Confederate officer. What or who are they?
