hide stealth ninja stealing snooping and magery if ya wanna live far away or maybe try resist/chiv to avoid the para gank and heal yourself a bit. who knows. but the first 5 skills are needed.

welcome to siege . take the time to read all of the sticky thread called mythbusting siege ... its very good.
also look up a guild called newborn on siege (NEW)

they help new players . sort of our version of "young".
(you get one month . then your on your own)
most players respect the rule that we dont kill "news"

some will but not most . and dont give up if they dirtnap you a bunch . thats part of siege . you just pick yourself up re-equip and dive right back in . you learn to have a setup ready in advance ... sort of prepaid insurance.

dont get discouraged .. get revenge

Well currently I am working on Ninj, Hide, Stealth, Steal, Snoop. I figured those 5 are a must. I'm thinking maybe fencing and tactics. Or maybe anatomy instead?

Or fencing and poisoning, though you can poison with shurikens. Skip anatomy. You don't have room for healing on that template. And you'll need plenty of potions. Explode potions might be useful too for some extra damage.

Don't forget you can start training steath at 30 hiding. Best to train in a house or moongate. When you start stealth you need to push the skill button.

It just depends what you want mate. I'd do poisoning and use a dagger or that ml weapon (assasin spike I think). But that's me...

That doesn't really work as well if he wants a pvp/pk thief though right? And a disarm thief would be fun I think, but that's assuming you can disarm. Most people using weapons seem to bless them.

80 remove trap
100 carto
50 detect hidden
Something around that area , give or take some points

Well Siege was a bit different then, and I had another character so with the stealth and hiding I was able to go into dungeons past the PK cams and such and pick away at the chests. The carto came later on when I realised with just one more skill I could do Tmaps. Its not a bad skill to be honest, and its one that needs a little bit of love from the devs. In the early days of Siege you could do a map and get paid very nicely cause cartographers were in short supply then.

How do you plan to play? Town? Power Scrolls? PvM with a little thieving on the side? Doom/Crates?

Lots of ways to play a thief, knowing what you enjoy as a playstyle helps.

Oh, and I do have a thief guild for new players if you are interested.
