Most of you know me not. Im 4 monthes short of a 10 year vet. It has come my time to leave this world. The EA Mythic gods and I no longer agree with the way this world or customer service and customers should be treated. Many times we have been told one thing by this company and either way you look at it its either the truth or a lie! 2 years ago we were told of an expansion coming soon called SA. Umm they set it aside for other game development. Once again they tell us this time we mean it were working on it. Hmm, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Recently we were told of 11th anniversary presants being given on asian shards but not US shards! HAVE ASIAN SHARDS BEEN RUNNING FOR 11 YEARS??????
OK i took a chill pill. We were also told that a statement would be on the sight in a few hours for the rest of us thursday night. Umm thursday came and went, friday came and went. regardless of what is said at town hall saturday this company has decided to deceive us. This is this companies way of manipulating and lieing to us. to keep us paying them money. lock this thread if you wish but not one thing i have said is not true. lock this thread for what ive said makes you as bad as they are. I have decided enough is enough and will be closing my 4 accounts slowly. saying my goodbyes, savoring the time left with my friends while hating the company that continues to deceive us. Deceive is a very polite way of saying it!!!!

Jeremy posted that she'd have something "Shortly"... I took that to mean a few hours or maybe a day or two... it's been a day or a little more. She also posted she's trying to get confirmation on a few details before she can post anything.

Keep in mind that she is the PR Person. She is NOT the decision maker... at least most of the time. Someone at a much nicer desk and probably with a much nicer salary is telling say this and you can't say that yet...

If she hasn't posted yet, chances are that the details she needs confirmation on have NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED. Keep in mind, she traveled today from wherever she lives to Chicago in preparation for the Town Hall, as did some other people from the team... Is the person with confirmation authority with them? Maybe not? In the office she normally works out of? Possibly not even that... Maybe the person doing the confirming was on vacation this week and the news wasn't even expected to break at all.

No one has said that the Asian shards get A, B and C while the US shards get nothing. All we know so far is that we have to wait for more info...

If this is what it takes to make you cancel your four accounts... chances are you would have canceled them anyway next week or the week after when someone pissed you off about something else.

I didnt even know that Japan has world builders. They obviously care more about their subscribers, which is why Japan has double the number of subscribers than the rest of the world. UO would be in better hands if Japan was in charge of development.

People have been saying UO is "near the end" for years. Yet here it remains.

The more things change. I laugh.

I know Bullet. He is actually a fun loving UO player with many ingame interests. A helper of others, a great guildmate, a good friend.
What you guys don't get, from reading his other posts, is that this bit of disinformation/no information, isn't why he is fed up.
It's merely the last straw...

Give him a break peeps, instead of the attitude, ya need to be wondering why the good peeps are leaving the game, and even some of the fanboi are becoming restless.

Sorry I just don't see this as the end. EA promised big things with SA. We were given KR, which I think of as a beta version of SA. They've taken a bunch of flack for a lousy produce and promised and continue to make changes and improvements.

Lastly UO has never been about the company that runs it. It's about the community and the people that log in every day. WE make the UO world what it has become today.

So hang in there, keep your vendors stocked, keep hunting those monsters or other players, and keep this dynamic world turning.

The only constant in life is change. This game isn't the same game I logged on to 11 years ago, and that's probably a good thing because if it was I would probably have moved on to something else.

Although I am sad that anyone who loves UO would choose to leave it, I can understand the anger you feel. I have played UO for 11+ years and I still love it. However, I will admit that it angers me a bit that Japan gets the 11th Anniversary items a month before they are offered to us. I rarely use this term because IRL I am a red-headed step child but this sure makes me feel like a red-headed step child!

Japanese 11th Anniversary Promotion:
- Items will be available exclusively through the box for approximately 30 days
- After 30 days, items will be available via UOGamecodes.com
- More details (which items, pricing of codes, etc) will be available closer to December

What improvments are you talking about we have some of the same bugs we had 7 years ago. The Z axis has been broken for years. And all the do is pile more code on top of it. It took them till the end of summer to release Spring Cleaning Items. Now finally about 4 months later we get another patch not fixing any old bugs but just add more code. But it was much better before these clowns got there hands on it.

Go look at old patch notes. http://update.uo.com/latest.html look how often the patched and now look how often we get a patch or update.

You really need to step away from the computer and spend some time doing something other than UO.

Look that fellow is wound a bit too tightly but he is correct. EA has and does make promises it does not keep. Every company does that but EA seem to raise it to an art form.

If thinking of KR as a beta for SA helps you to over look the fact that it sucks as clients go more power to you but it is not a beta. It is a full release available to every player. They have taken a bunch of flack because they took a product that was barely ready for beta testing and dumped it on us. Then they terminated development on that product to work on an expansion to that product.
