maybe they were looted off someone's corpse or something,

but if/when they are [priced higher] than [my own] prices,
on [my own] vendors at [my own] homes', here on Siege

While they are pricer frostwood poles, I usually go by 'uses' more than wood types anyhow and anything using less than 10 boards, I oft sell cheap or cheaper, than the wood hogging items, would ever be priced/ cost esp in frostwoods.

Well if ya ever need or want more of MY frostwood fishing poles, just ask and I will make em up for you.

They will NO LONGER be sold on any of my vendors for once again all mine were bought out and sold 4x higher priced ELSEWHERE with MY GM mark on em. And this has happened a few times now so my theory if one IS a gm carpenter MAKE YOUR OWN sell em for YOUR PRICE$$$ not use MINE for your shoppe's business and 4x the prices I had on MINE.

Will be closing down quite a few of my vendors as is, hard to sell furnnitures even, too, when others give so much of it, away for free.

[Carpentry was my favorite reason for being and playing here and having vendors here]. Ah well ya can either find MY gm mark fishin poles 4x higher elsewhere on Siege, *for now* till they run out of 'MINE' there, at their shop,

or find furnitures made by others, on some vendors, all for free even,
sooo [no need] for me to make any furnitures much, to actually TRY to sell much of it, any more.

QZ, I know I can't be the only person who read the Siege forums periodically and then finally started playing on Siege and was tickled pink to eventually have a house (even a tiny one) and an excuse and gold enough to buy furniture crafted by Miranda. I may have my own crafter now who makes most of the furniture I need; however, I will always treasure and hang onto the furniture your Miranda made and that I purchased with some of my first Siege gold.

No clue why You could not find any, when I restocked them every morning and sometimes every afternoon too, to the tune of 10-32 frostwood poles ]per restock] x 1-2 per day per color of wood, and as many if not more in the cheaper plain wood fishing poles as well. And inbetween the plain and the frostwood, & all the other colors of fishing poles restocked too, daily from oak on up to bloodwood, I oft snuck in runic fishing poles amongst em all, too.

But fishing poles always sold out fast on my vendor, thus why I restocked em 1-2x a day per wood color, at about as many per restock per color, as could fit on the vendor.

At any rate fishing poles I made, even in hard to get frostwood were always 120 to 250 gp MAX, depending on either [uses of the poles] or wood types &/or difficulty keepin up with fetchin frostwood all the time, to restock 1 -2x daily of my spiffy frostwood fishing poles.
They only take a bit o' cloth & a few boards; afterall !

I myself will continue to respect other players' work, and their gm + marks.

I will not, nor have I ever, bought other peoples' gm marked stuff to sell, higher nor at any prices, on any of vendors I own.

Prodo shard tactics as Uncle stated one can get/find that anywhere *else*,
seldom have I had such ever happen, though, HERE.
The times, on Siege, they are a changin, I guess.

I know you don't want to do that...I hated doing that too, and I didn't because I had a serving boy to assist in funding my "charitable project" vendors (most notably the potion keg one), which is what most turned out to be.

Sell your spiffy gen-u-WINE Miranda label frostwood fishing poles for what people will pay for them...and make custom bulk orders for your regular customer who are interested in taking the time to make arrangements if they want em at the old cheapy price.

Well, that was my point. If it is just one person grabbing stuff and reselling, if they are actually SELLING consistently, and it's not a random thing, then that indicates there is a market at that price. If the market was QZs price, then they wouldn't sell on that other vendor at the markup, and the greedy whomever it is wouldn't be able to sustain it, they'd just end up buying out QZs stock.

She should raise enough that it isn't so attractive for resale.

People honestly have no idea how much time I (we) spend stocking these things.

And I too am having someone with greed or agenda issues with my "Noob Help Station" vendors. Buys anything cheap and buys it all out. Either to smelt the gold weapons for ingots or jewels for essence I have no idea. But whoever it is has issues. The vendors are there to get new people started, not to fund some jackasses resource or mental needs.

I ran into similar issues when I was running the Zento Seed Bank project, which was completely free, and open to the public. There were lots of people (the majority) who respected the system, just taking a starter plant or one each of specific seeds they needed to get their garden going, and then we'd have someone come by and clean the place out. It took a significant amount of time to farm wild seeds, plant and harvest them, sort them, and maintain the vendors. I used to sit hidden in my house for long periods of time, sorting seeds, crafting, etc. and I made a lot of observations about visits to the vendors.

Unfortunately the problem is as old as the UO vendor system. It is very frustrating when people who love the crafting and shop keeping aspects of the game have their work taken advantage of, but I don't really know how to effectively hinder the buy out and resell operations other than to raise prices to stop it.

If someone really can't afford something at going vendor prices on the shard, they will take the time to seek out help with their needs. And I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing in a MMO.

I personally don't understand what the problem is your selling em at what your charging for them if you see other charging more for your item you need to charge more not stop selling now when I need poles on the spur of the moment I'm not gonna be able to look at your vendor well that just sux
