[Discussion] Just a thought.(Service UO could offer)

Firstly, I'm posting this here as I have a feeling the rares community would be the first to jump on such a offer. I was just in another thread and when someone mentioned having their collection being shard specific I got to thinking. Just how often does a player have to pay for a transfer token in order to bring just one or only a few items back to their home shard? Or maybe those players who already have seven chars on a shard and need to transfer an item(s) over?

Basically, wouldn't it make sense for UO to offer an item only transfer? I know I've heard a lot of people mention they'd like to bring an item over to whatever shard but don't want to spend the money on a transfer. I think it could be a profitable idea, say a dollar or two for a single item? (I haven't really thought about how it could work, I suppose just place item in special bag, use transfer, and pick up using help gump on chosen shard.)

What do you folks think? Good idea or not? Or maybe I just stumbled on an original idea that a hundred other folks have already asked for here and I just didn't notice?

I'm that "shard specific" collector and YES I've spent an embarassing amount on transfering relatively small numbers of items back to Catskills, but I think that most collectors have resigned to the fact that it's "part of the business" of Rares Collecting.
