did a few seacrhes, couldn't find anything on the FAQ...

Please can anybody tell me, when does a tailor/smithy etc etc get the "crafted by xxxx" added to his crafted items?

It's an option if you craft items that are exceptional after to you have gmed skill. ( i think....it's been a long time :))

Correct. You need to be at least Grandmaster to place your maker's mark on a crafted item (that can retain it, not all items can). This goes for all the crafting skills.
