I never believed people when they said this, but it happened to me the other night and I'm wondering WHAT it could be other then what I THINK it is.
So I'm fighting at XV castle and a certain red archer/mage/ninja who is gm of JW/TDR comes up whose name is only two characters long. When he comes out of animal form I get really laggy for a couple seconds as I start to run off. I figured it must be my computer lagging or something so I go back. Sure enough when this person comes out of animal form it does it again.
I've heard people say that they suddenly lag when certain people come on the screen. I never believed it until now. I didnt have this problem with any other person. I'm just asking, is there something out there that causes that lag or is it just a connection issue? It was odd that it kept happening is all. If you could PM me that'd be great, or just reply.

YOU KNOW this game is over ran with people that use preformance enhancing programs. Its a damn shame that osi/ea doesnt police thier games like they used to. There are people scripting resources,skill gains,and pretty much everything else. ITs sad that we live in an era when everything has to be spoon feed to us.
Just look at the most played template on great lakes....Archery. i rest my case

you will also notice, Kahlen, that you will get the same lag when that same individual is on his 3 character named blue or his six character named mage. I know what is causing the lag, unfortunately, that cannot be discussed in this forum. Also, it doesnt appear that EA is going to address this problem, which probably explains why so many are leaving this game.

I have never attended a "five on friday" or any other UO event outside of the game, but what do these things do for the community of UO? Aren't there people who these individuals can be reported to? Or is there someone who can influence the "keepers" of UO? Paging a GM on scripters seems to have an effect, but what does paging a GM on hackers and speeders do? Obviously most of the time you get a "report a bug" message when paging a GM, but do the call takers at EA have a spine or can they do anything other than take the $13.95 each month?

yea id say On isnt nearly as fast as some of those ~s~ mages those dudes got enough speed to get far enough away from meto cast flame strike before i can get close enough to even think about swinging

Except for the fact that I've posted plenty of screenshots of me fighting people and I have no problem showing my toolbar...I did that internet test that someone posted on here a bit ago and if that has anything to do with it I was at 9700 mb download and 1mb upload. I guess that factors into speed? Sorry, I dont need any enhancements.

i dont like getting into the firing range of these accusations... and not that i will disagree with anyone here... but what you are mentioning is a bug with animal form... its usually only seen by the caster but occassionally other people around it will experience the same thing...

There has been such a thing in game now for over a year now and I have noticed BC were the ones using it the most .

But now has spread all over and there definately is a program because one of my old guildies found out about it and tryed it .

Now this kind of stuff is so widespread I realy dont enjoy playing Uo much anymore and will probably quit soon all my accounts because EA refuses to do anything about it when they darn well know its going on .

What fun is pvp when the guy your fighting outruns you on foot while your mounted and cast 2 flamestrikes before I can cast one?If you don't believe this try fighting that UOD named after a rodent ran over on the side of the road!

Im trying to figure out what you mean by BC uses it? WTF are you talking about? Please do enlighten us. It sounds like your accusing BC of using something that lags everyone else up BUT BC. Not sure a program can do that. How does it determine not to slow BC down as well as everyone else? Or are you saying that every single BC player is running said program?

Get over it. Noone runs a damn lag script. When a group of people 10+ run onto screen all with spells precast its gonna lag a bit. Happens at all the big fights. Oh wait you wouldnt know about big fights except for in your house.

Are there fast people Yes. But saying there on foot and your running on a mount with a decent ping of 50 no packet loss. You should be able to run away from people. Especially if there casting FS's. Id like someone to prove me wrong. Lets say bent since hes the one saying it happens. Go to testcenter get one your buddies with decent ping and you get the speed, err i mean skill, and test it. Its just not possible. They dont skip like they do on mount. Yes i have fought the rat guy to. As always i put the faster people on foot then remount. Never have i been chased down by him casting fs on mount to die.

It is handy for you that BC made an example of me so you could use that line. Too bad no one believes in BC's sterling reputation.

This should have read

I will be the first to admit I saw many things, while in BC, I should not and will not relate here however I am unaware of any such program. As the diplomatic garret said how come BC is not lagged by it.

Not referring to the stratics TOS. However you may want to review this particular ROC. In your case i would pay close attention to numbers 7, 14, 15. If you'd like help figuring them out PM me.

Just for you I took a look at the items you listed. I appreciate your confidence in me but I dont think I am up to the task of modifying the UO Service or Web Site and I dont really think I am capable of interfering with or hacking into the transmissions from the server. I also dont think I have ever intentionally exploited a bug although many times bugs are common and you use them unaware. I think you are bordering on unfounded accusations of cheating. Are you hoping for a ban.

I suggest you file a complaint at uo.com if you feel justified but I would drop the subject here.

quit playing dumb......yes there is no hacks or lag scripts that target specific people.....but when people run certain *ahem* enhancing proggies it does make other people around them lag very noticibly


so if you have a good comp and seem to lag to certain people, well now you know why
