junk proof hook indeed! (bug)

my friend pulled up sandals while using a junk proof hook.
the hook was also baited for autumn dragonfish. fishing in ilshenar, using Captain Blackheart's Fishing Pole (Aquarium reward)

Yeah, I've only used a Dredging Hook, but when I used it, it worked only 40% of the time. So I assume the Junk Proof Hook may not be 100% either? Hrm. It ought to be, though, heh.

I can assure you, there's a lot more junk caught on those hooks than 1 out of 1000. More like 1 out of 10.

The correct term is Footwear. See if it was all footwear then you have a bug but you said shoes..... hehe

Not sure how they work either, athough I suspect that as they wear out (good, fair, worn) they become less and less effective.

I am too lazy to do fishing especially the crazy fishing quest where you need fill the crate and deliver from one place to another... i started *yawn* for the first and only time i have completed.

Could anyone tell me those hooks will have charges?

Like after using 100 times then the hook = disappear?

Or it will be permanent?

The fishing quests aint that bad you just need to get many orders in at same time. Like if you start at Trinsic Server line, you can get quest from Trinsic, Skara and Jhelom by recalling there... so you just have to cross server line to deliver and Brit and Vesper Server line are just near that so you will have delivery to those places fast.

I used two junk proof hooks in shame fishing for fire fish with bait and pulled up three footwear items between the two hooks. Don't remember what they were just that the first pair I thought might have been from not cleaning out my bag properly before applying the hook so I watched the next one carefully and pulled up two pair with it. Don't remember what they were but i'm thinking boots and thigh boots.

Like if you start at Trinsic Server line, you can get quest from Trinsic, Skara and Jhelom by recalling there... so you just have to cross server line to deliver and Brit and Vesper Server line are just near that so you will have delivery to those places fast.

There was great debate over whether a user should do one quest at a time or multiple quests. It was thought multiple quests were screwing up line totals, so a lot of people went one-by-one instead. However, the Devs tinkered with it, and I think you can safely do multi now. Not really sure. Friend of mine does multi and has pulled two 120 PS since changes (the last pub I mean).

But anyway, since inception, each NPC monger can issue forth one crate into your ship hold, which means you can get as many monger quests as you can find monger npcs.
