Things like these tokens that are I think being offered only on the Japanese shards should be made so they can not be shard transferred. Don't let the players on those shard get a bunch of those and then transfer to an American shard and try to sell them for a huge profit because they are not being offered here.

Since the non Japan shards help to test these items on TC shouldn't we all have them available to us? I remember reading one of the Devs post saying that we were getting them. Oh wait, we have not even patched the client so we can see what the new cloak and talisman are called. What was I thinking?

Its always seemed to me that the oriental shards always look better, have better events, and get a lot more unique and handy items then other shards.
I asked that question in the ask the devs forum about a month ago, no answer yet.
Personally, I got sick of waiting and bought a set off a Zento vendor. I probably could have gotten a set for half what I spent if I waited until the US store had the codes, but who knows when that will be.
I'd really like one of the scribes pens, but that I can wait for.
From what has been posted about Japan's uogamecodes, they are ip banning purchases from non Japanese/Asian purchasers and credit cards belonging to people outside Japan/Asia.

Seems silly but don't we play the same game as Japan? Why should one shard or set of shards get something before enyone else? Do these codes/items really have to be tweaked that much for sale in America or Europe? Myabe we should hire the team in Japan to work for America so we can all get things at same time and quit feeding the xshard greed monster.

It takes an EA level of genius, really. Run a worldwide game over the internet, let players access it from anywhere in the world, and then decide to let regional components of the company reject any 'foreign' money - just a few months back, when slashing the workforce and culling titles because they were scared they were not going to reach their projected profit levels, their boss declared micro-transactions over the internet are the future of the company! Nobody quite figured out these 'regional' bits are all part of the same company, and it really doesn't matter which of them gets the cash since it all goes into the EA corporate bank?
Anyone with shares in EA, probably a very good time to sell, this looks like a seriously incompetent organisation.....
Cal or someone has explained it in the past, EA Japan and EA North America are not exactly the same company but fall under the umbrella of EA Games. EA Japan developed these items for their market with their own resources. North America in time I guess the best explanation is they have to buy the rights to sell them here.

Sorry but it irks me to no end that people in Japan get all this crap first while we in the US get ****...
What irks me more is that there are tons of people buying the crap and cross sharding it to other shards making millions in gold when they shouldn't .... to me THAT is an unfair advantage given to those with access to the Japan market.... And it's BULLS**T.... And everytime they do this is really ticks me off.
You want to talk about cheats, exploits and crap well here they are actually HELPING drive the market on things to sell for rediculous amounts of gold lining the pockets of a select few..... while the rest of us are made to wait.

My argument is that if you allow players from anywhere in the world to play on any of your servers thanks to their subscriptions being paid to either or any 'sub-unit' of the corporation, it's simply wrong to then block those same customers from buying a product that is only useable in that game simply because they don't happen to have an IP address in an arbritrarily determined 'suitable area' - especially so when they can get these same virtual items and cross-shard them between all and any of the game servers.
It's nonsensical, but it's the bizarre way EA work.... the concept of a single world-wide market for a world-wide game seems to remain beyond their accountancy department's grasp. They don't consider that while a regional presence is good for reflecting the differences between regions and cultures and bringing out the marketing nuances and requirements for their region, it should have zero impact on the overall financial arrangements for the product and the actual game play and items available within the game..

The last set of tokens which included the BOD Covers started the same way and we got access to them six months later. I'd expect to see these "Spring 2010" Items on the code shop around Halloween or Christmas.

I agree with you, I just remember how it was explained in the past.
I firmly believe if you are going to segregate markets then each should be isolated from each other. No transfers between each, no playing on a separate market's servers. No common testing of each markets items. We are free guinea pigs to test items out, see they exist; however we don't rate them being available at the same time.

What does it matter, it can hold 200 and be recharged easily.

LOL, figures the day I forget to look, it goes up for sale. I have been checking everyday, but I was too busy yesterday to check, but it wasnt there on Thursday.
In terms of 'charges', it might actually hold 1,000. Depends exactly what's meant by this :
"Consists of 2 linked teleport tiles with 5 charges that allow you to link houses and teleport across facets. You are able to recharge these tiles with gate scrolls, each gate scroll recharges the tile with 5 charges. The max number of Gate scrolls the teleport can hold at any given time is 200."

That's exactly right, 1,000 charges. I got mine awhile ago, I'm on Sakura, charged them up to 1,000 and after several weeks I'm down to 956 so at this rate I might have to recharge them once or twice a year.

And since i did report this during test centre and they did not fix it here goes..
If you have a stack of 100 or more gate scrolls on you and drag say 10 to the pad to recharge, it will only use 1 scroll...
Yes i know this is not the place to report bugs but since they did not look at it when i posted months back to bad...Enjoy the extra chrges people...
