I find UO more fun and entertaining and Im looking for a guild in cats to join. PvP / RP is good too...la

Also, there are a lot of rp guild depending on what kind of character you want to RP.
Or if you want Pure PvP D|R* is a TB faction Based PvP guild. You'll find to PvP in fel you have to have items unfortunately which is why people do factions for the enhanced artifacts.
Or you could just be a plain old PK killing anyone on a whim.

The faction items are what caused D|R to have to branch into D|R*, its just too difficult to compete with those items out there now. It's sad, because we used to actually enjoy factions, and now stealing sigs and defending bases rarely happens...

I hope they change it, take back the items, make it like it was... Then I can have all the guys pull back into D|R like the old days.

Or perhaps link the power of those artifacts rely on the sigils ! You get the easy equip, but are required to play factions correctly

They basically gave EVERYONE the chance to compete & experience pvp without having to spend obscene amouts of time grinding/farming for "real" artifacts.

Not my fault it seems other players have the mindset that others "depend" on them. Use what's given. If you can't handle statloss, you miss out. I'm sure you know a lot of people who have to deal with that...

You know, I wasn't even trying to start an argument. I was just lamenting the fact that factions isn't about factions anymore, its just about getting suited up to PVP. I wasn't giving people a hard time about using the items, and I have no problem with statloss... you're trying to pick a fight where there's nothing to pick at.

You know, that's another thing I miss. I long for the days when GM made exceptional armor and weapons along with a little skill made you king of the hill. Now, GM means nothing and player made items aren't much better than the cheap imports you got from the NPC's.

As for faction items I can beat most that play fair with those faction items, and I **** off people with healing scripts to no end because I can do what there precious cheat does but better. (I rarely use those smileys)

Europa RP doesn't use anything over GM armor and weapons. (well legendary now)

Actually we vets could claim that they "ruined" it years ago, so now we just make the best of what we get and roll with whatever changes they make while hoping that each expansion isn't the final nail in the coffin. If the game is ruined, it certianly wasn't ruined because of faction items.

Faction items were actually a positive step in the direction of all those who claimed that pvp is pointless due to over-powering items and the inability to afford them. Now you have the items. Now you can build the suits to compete.

Honestly, I really see no reason to NOT be factions. If you dont go to felucca, it doesn't matter. I can only see it being trouble for crafters.
If I were to change anything, I would make it so that stat-loss doesn't affect crafting skills so that would put and end to the argument about protecting crafters. To me it doesn't matter though.
